Description

The company has an opening for a CAMO Engineer in Getafe, Madrid, in its Customer Engineering and Technical Support team.

The role provides maintenance engineering and fleet management support under the EASA and EMAR Part M scope. You help manage and maintain the continuing airworthiness of the customer's aircraft at their facilities, aiming for safe operations, high fleet availability and low maintenance cost, always in line with the customer's national aviation authorities.

You support the customer across all continuing airworthiness work as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Keep the customer fleet under continuing airworthiness control, with a focus on fleet availability, performance and maintenance scheduling costs.
  • Drive ongoing improvement of the customer's maintenance programme.
  • Develop and update the Operator Maintenance Program (OMP) and assess how well it works, optimising processes where needed.
  • Review each aircraft's maintenance status against the customer's documents and raise maintenance work orders so every airworthiness requirement is met.
  • Analyse engineering documents such as ADs, SBs, VSBs, modifications, engineering orders, SILs and AOTs across all ATA chapters for implementation on the fleet. For optional SBs and modifications, run cost and benefit analysis covering cost, maintenance and operational gains, and report the results to the customer. Provide aircraft status for SB and modification configuration control.
  • Monitor reliability of the fleet's systems and components, produce operator reliability reports, and take part in and support reliability meetings with the customer. Work with the Technical Services team (core and local), suppliers and OEMs, and oversee the reliability programme.
  • Prepare long, medium and/or short term planning for the customer.
  • Maintain aircraft configuration control and keep the customer fleet records up to date.
  • Make sure technical records are controlled and logged in the IT tool specified by the customer.
  • Support the customer on any continuing airworthiness matter, including query resolution and procedure development.
  • Turn customer engineering orders into maintenance instructions for carrying out SBs, VSBs, modifications and similar work.
  • Answer technical queries linked to the ATA chapters you analyse.
  • Liaise with the customer on continuing airworthiness and fleet management.
  • Advise the customer on the maintenance programme and planning.
  • Advise the customer on whether SB embodiment is worthwhile based on cost and effectiveness, in line with internal company policies and engineering documents.
  • Advise the customer on findings from reliability analysis.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of EASA and EMAR Part M and Part 145 regulations.
  • Understanding of airline business and operations.
  • Ability to tailor maintenance programmes and planning.
  • Skill in analysing maintenance and planning data.
  • Knowledge of maintenance economics and reliability.
  • Experience with maintenance planning and in-service configuration management.
  • Knowledge of aircraft systems and structure.
  • Familiarity with how maintenance operations run and how to use maintenance documentation.
  • Good understanding of customer expectations and needs, and experience managing authority and customer relationships.
  • Ability to answer customer technical queries, persuade and influence, and communicate clearly.
  • Desirable: previous experience in continuing airworthiness at civil or military operators.
  • You stay aware of potential compliance risks and act with integrity.

Conditions

Permanent contract, professional level.

Based at the customer's facilities in Madrid, during the customer's working hours.

You may be asked to travel to other customer or company sites, and deployments of up to 6 months may be required.
