BeyondTrust Engineer

Description

The company is hiring a BeyondTrust engineer to support the USAF customer in delivering one shared set of required end-user IT services across 187 bases.

The goal is a consistent, high-quality experience for users in every mission environment, so the USAF can shift its attention from running the network to running missions.

You will configure and support BeyondTrust Remote Support, Privileged Remote Access and Password Safe for this customer.

The work sits inside an EITaaS environment covering enterprise ITSM, service desk operations, endpoint management and security, CONUS and OCONUS field support, and full life cycle sustainment of end user devices. Your team's engineering work helps the DAF move from IT-centric to mission-focused operations, with more agility, reliability and security across the enterprise.

This is a hybrid role.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, document and deploy BeyondTrust solutions that meet functional and security requirements.
• Put proper security practices in place and keep them there, and patch or upgrade the tools tied to the solution.
• Watch solution performance, spot likely problems and risks, and recommend and carry out fixes through the standard release process.
• Integrate systems and solutions with a team, triage issues and set task priorities for your solutions.
• Write standard processes with your team to raise the maturity of the solution.
• Build and maintain automation scripts and templates for provisioning, configuration management and deployment.
• Tune the relevant infrastructure for cost, performance and scalability.
• Produce and review detailed documentation and diagrams for the solution.
• Prepare periodic reports, respond to audit findings and support testing.
• Partner with other teams to get the most out of assigned tasks, and share knowledge and insight with technical and non-technical colleagues, including customer stakeholders.
• Coach and cross-train more junior colleagues, providing oversight.
• Work with minimal supervision, starting and managing your own tasks.

Requirements

• Active Secret clearance.
• CompTIA Security+ or another DoD-approved 8570 baseline certification at IAT Level II or higher.
• 10+ years of relevant experience. A bachelor's degree in a related field can replace 5 years of that experience.
• Hands-on field experience installing, configuring and supporting BeyondTrust Remote Support, Privileged Remote Access and Password Safe.
• Technical breadth: you learn fast and adapt to new challenges and technologies.
• Experience working closely alongside the customer's network and operations staff to resolve tool and service issues or security concerns.
• Ability to write and maintain system documentation and operating procedures.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Active Directory, Windows PowerShell, Windows credential stores and Microsoft Certificate Services.
• Experience troubleshooting RDP and SSH protocols and connections.
• Experience securing systems to DISA STIGs and other government compliance rules such as NIST 800-53 and FISMA, working with IA staff to set sound, effective security policies.
• Track record of working with vendors to troubleshoot and resolve tool and solution issues.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with close attention to detail.
• Adapt quickly to shifting priorities and perform well under pressure.
• Clear communication and interpersonal skills for working with cross-functional teams and clients.
• Desired: you have connected BeyondTrust Remote Support to ServiceNow.
• Desired: you have linked BeyondTrust Remote Support to Nice CXOne (InContact) or another customer support platform.
• Desired: hands-on work with Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services.
• Desired: a cloud certification, for example Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), AWS SysOps Administrator or AWS Solutions Architect.
• Desired: prior work with DOD, DOW or federal agencies.

Conditions

Full time, hybrid, with up to 10% travel within the continental US.

Minimum clearance to start: Secret.

Regular employee type.

The base salary range is $75,200-$158,100.

Final pay depends on factors including location, Federal Government contract labor categories and wage rates, relevant prior experience, specific skills and competencies, education and certifications.
