Description

This is an intermediate-level applications development role in which you help establish and put into place new or revised application systems and programs, working with the team's technology group.

The role contributes to the analysis and programming work behind the company's application systems.

Responsibilities

• Use your working knowledge of development procedures and concepts, plus basic understanding of adjacent technical areas, to find and define needed system enhancements, including with scripting tools and by reading and interpreting code.
• Advise users, clients, and other technology groups on issues, recommend programming fixes, and help install and support client-facing systems.
• Apply core programming language knowledge to turn design specifications into working code.
• Review applications for vulnerabilities and security weaknesses, and carry out testing and debugging.
• Mentor newer or less experienced analysts.
• Diagnose problems, weigh information, make sound judgment calls, and recommend and carry out solutions, drawing on precedent where it applies.
• Work with limited direct supervision and use your own judgment and initiative.
• Act as the subject matter expert for senior stakeholders and fellow team members.
• Weigh risk in business decisions, with attention to the firm's reputation and to protecting the company, its clients, and its assets. Follow applicable laws, rules, regulations, and internal policy, use sound ethical judgment, and escalate and report control issues openly.
• Manage your day-to-day work, evaluate complex situations, and choose courses of action. Drive delivery in your area and stay on schedule. You are accountable for quality and timelines and may affect business results within your scope. Review outputs, guide approaches where needed, and close gaps to meet expected standards.
• Turn direction into concrete steps, follow through on decisions, and handle unplanned issues within your scope. Keep processes running consistently so outputs meet the standard, adapting to shifting priorities while keeping work reliable, timely, and high quality.
• Bring domain expertise and analytical rigor to deliverables, and assess business requirements to recommend practical solutions that can be implemented. Adjust standard methods when needed and weigh the wider business impact.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of relevant experience in financial services.
• Intermediate experience in an applications development role.
• Clear, concise written and verbal communication.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to unexpected changes in expectations or requirements.
• Bachelor's degree or university degree, or equivalent experience.

Conditions

Full-time position in Tampa, Florida, United States.

Primary salary range: $76,560.00 - $106,840.00.
