Calypso Business Analyst

Description

The team is newly formed and supports the Capital Markets ecosystem of a major European bank, with a strong focus on the Calypso platform.

The team will build out from the start and take care of running, improving and developing key Capital Markets operations and systems.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyse and document business and functional requirements for Calypso.
• Work with Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office, Risk and Operations teams.
• Turn business needs into detailed functional specifications and user stories.
• Help design and deliver Calypso enhancements and new features.
• Support incident analysis and resolution alongside technical teams.
• Act as the link between business stakeholders and development teams.
• Help with testing, including SIT, UAT and production validation.
• Contribute to process improvement across Capital Markets operations.
• Support system upgrades, releases and platform transformation projects.

Requirements

• At least 3 but no more than 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in financial services.
• Proven hands-on experience with the Calypso platform.
• A solid grasp of Capital Markets products and the trade lifecycle.
• Experience gathering and documenting functional and business requirements.
• The ability to communicate well with both technical and non-technical people.
• Knowledge of Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office, Risk or Operations workflows.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• English at C1 level.
• Exposure to derivatives, fixed income, FX, equities or money markets.
• Working knowledge of SQL and data analysis.
• Experience in investment banking environments.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery methods.
• Past involvement in Calypso implementation, migration or upgrade projects.
