Associate Director, Data Analytics

You would lead the analytics group for a health and wellness app designed by dietitians and behavior change specialists.

Members use nutrition lessons, tracking tools and one-on-one coaching to build habits that stick.

You will manage data analysts and turn their findings into clear advice for senior leaders, shaping how the app grows and improves.

Responsibilities

• Guide, supervise and coach a group of data analysts so they grow professionally and produce strong analysis.
• Build complete data analytics plans that serve the company's main business objectives.
• Work with teams across the business to define what data is needed and deliver insights you can act on.
• Own each stage of data collection, analysis and interpretation, keeping results accurate, relevant and on time.
• Create and refine advanced data models, dashboards and visual reports that are clear and useful.
• Present findings and strategic recommendations to senior managers and stakeholders in a clear, persuasive way.
• Lead ongoing work to improve the team's analytics methods, tools and processes.
• Keep up with new trends, tools and practices in data analysis so the team stays ahead.

Requirements

• A bachelor's or master's degree in a quantitative subject such as data science, statistics or computer science, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Deep experience in analysing data, building models, visualising results and reporting.
• A track record of leading a team of data analysts.
• Extensive hands-on use of analysis tools and programming languages such as Python, R and SQL.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Clear communication, along with skill in collaborating and managing stakeholders.
• Ability to find strategic meaning in data and convert it into practical recommendations.

Conditions

Starting pay ranges from $120,000 to $160,000, with the final figure set by location, qualifications and experience.

Pay details follow state Fair Pay Act requirements, and benefits depend on eligibility.

You work in the office Tuesday through Thursday each week and may work remotely on Mondays and Fridays if you prefer.
