Description

The company builds high-performance products and runs a culture where people are trusted to make sound decisions. The team works on technically demanding problems.

The Business Modernization Program Project Manager plans and delivers assigned ERP modernization workstreams or releases. You keep scope, schedule, resources, risks and dependencies under active control across the implementation lifecycle. You work closely with the Business Process Champion and the Data Lead for Sales & Service to run project execution with discipline while staying aligned to program objectives, milestones and governance.

You coordinate cross-functional teams that include business stakeholders, IT, system integrators and third-party partners. You bring transparency and predictability to the work, spotting and reducing risks early to support adoption, go-live and stabilization.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain detailed project plans that fit the integrated modernization program schedule, milestones and governance model.
  • Lead assigned ERP projects or workstreams through the Prepare, Explore, Realize, Deploy and Hypercare phases.
  • Track daily tasks, milestones and issues, and drive them to resolution.
  • Keep project scope aligned with approved designs and run all changes through formal change control.
  • Identify, assess and manage project risks, issues and dependencies. Escalate to the Modernization Program Manager with clear mitigation options.
  • Coordinate dependencies across workstreams with peer Project Leads so delivery stays integrated.
  • Coordinate business, IT, system integrator and third-party resources to deliver on time and to a high standard.
  • Help functional and technical teams collaborate effectively.
  • Work with Solution Architecture, Functional Leads and Organizational Change Management (OCM) so delivery and adoption activities line up.
  • Produce accurate status reports, forecasts and issue updates that follow program reporting standards.
  • Maintain the RAID log for your project area or areas.
  • Make sure the program's governance, delivery methodology and quality standards are followed.
  • Support testing cycles, defect fixes, cutover planning and go-live readiness.
  • Make sure deliverables meet quality standards and win acceptance from business stakeholders.
  • Support knowledge transfer to sustain and operations teams after go-live.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 5+ years of project management experience on implementations or major modernization initiatives. ERP implementation experience is preferred.
  • Proven experience managing ERP projects or major ERP workstreams across several implementation phases.
  • Solid grasp of ERP implementation lifecycles and structured methods such as SAP Activate or an equivalent.
  • Proven ability to manage schedules, scope, risks, issues and dependencies in complex projects.
  • Experience coordinating system integrators and both internal and external delivery teams.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage business and technical stakeholders alike.
  • Proficiency with project and reporting tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira or similar.
  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills, with close attention to detail.
  • Comfort working within a structured, governance-driven program.
