This is a manager role in quality for business delivery, and the job starts with one direct report.

The team is a mix of people who collaborate closely to serve customers. It values subject knowledge, sharp business judgment and a strong working dynamic, and it suits someone who does well in a busy, active setting.

You will take part in large process modeling, analysis and design work. You will lead people and activities that cover business performance, organizational design and business risk, and use them to build practical, forward-looking transformation plans.

Responsibilities

  • Lead business transformation work that combines people, processes and technology, and manage teams that plan the business by spotting complexity, dependencies and duplication.
  • Lead a team focused on business process management, acting as the main internal consultant on business products and processes for customers, management and outside parties.
  • Oversee process analysis and design, organizational analysis, needs assessments and cost-benefit studies so technology choices match business strategy, and work with technology groups and internal clients on short and long term plans.
  • Direct teams that identify which parts of a process most need improvement and set the criteria for measuring success.
  • Make a significant contribution to change across the business unit.
  • Oversee training for customers on business, technology, social and environmental trends that support performance goals.
  • Lead staff on strategic projects that assess new and current products, procedures and workflows for business systems, and track new technology and changing business needs.
  • Lead the building of strong business cases, including securing senior management input, and identify, assess and reduce risks in the current and target operating models.
  • Manage staff, including performance reviews, salary planning, training, workflow planning, hiring, placement and disciplinary action.
  • Build the value-added services and processes that move routine testing from business users to the Business Delivery team, and optimize testing end to end with automation to cut manual work.
  • Set clear expectations and build a quality-focused culture that helps your direct report grow in testing, defect management and process improvement.
  • Create clear, high-visibility quality metrics so leadership can see the team's results.
  • Reimagine post-release support and continuous improvement, and encourage the team to propose and deliver new ideas.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate study in computer science, management information systems, business, mathematics or a related field is preferred. Graduate study is also preferred.
  • Eight or more years of dynamic experience planning, designing and delivering company-wide business transformation initiatives.
  • Extensive experience with functional, process, information and data modeling, data management, warehousing and application integration.
  • In-depth experience with process redesign methods and tools.
  • Three years of people management experience is required.
  • Project management experience is preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of a wide range of process modeling, analysis and design tools, concepts and techniques.
  • Proven knowledge of standards, methodologies, frameworks, business process management and technology, plus the systems development life cycle.
  • Expert knowledge of emerging industry, competitor, customer demographic, regulatory and market trends, and of new developments in the technology industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of project management concepts and techniques.
  • Detailed knowledge of facilitation, performance management, organizational design and change management.
  • Ability to lead large, complex projects, communicate clearly, influence others, apply new approaches and work with ambiguity.
  • Leadership skills, competencies and other experience may outweigh the criteria above.
  • Consistently demonstrate the company's values.
  • Exceptions to these requirements must be approved by the hiring manager's leader and an HR Business Partner.
