Description

The company is a trusted partner for major brands, offering engineering, supply chain and manufacturing services. It has been operating for 60 years and runs over 100 sites worldwide.

You will be a core functional and process resource for the Solution Architect Lead, the Business Engagement Manager (BEM), business stakeholders, site teams, project managers and IT delivery teams.

You will build a working understanding of end-to-end manufacturing processes, the SAP landscape, inventory management, integrations, data flows and site operating needs. You will turn business needs into clear documented requirements and process designs that support architecture and delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Document current-state and future-state processes, including process maps, workflows, narratives and use cases.
  • Write and maintain BRDs, functional requirements, business rules, data-flow and interface requirements, and requirements traceability.
  • Run process and requirements gap analysis to find inconsistencies, integration gaps, manual work and standardization opportunities.
  • Build a documented knowledge base so program knowledge does not depend on individual people.
  • Apply broad SAP knowledge across business processes rather than working within a single module.
  • Work across Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Plan-to-Produce, logistics and warehouse management, intercompany and inventory movements, SAP S/4HANA, SAP Digital Manufacturing and manufacturing integrations, and reporting and data touchpoints.
  • Perform functional analysis before solution-design discussions, turn processes into structured requirements for architects, and check that proposed solutions meet documented requirements.
  • Analyze dependencies between SAP, manufacturing systems, integration platforms and downstream reporting and data tools, and prepare functional input for architecture and technical design discussions.
  • With the BEM, run requirements workshops and discovery sessions, turn stakeholder needs into requirements, support project intake and scope definition, identify process impacts and readiness needs, and provide documentation for governance and decisions.
  • Support cross-site process standardization and make sure requirements are sufficiently defined before design and delivery begin.
  • Turn requirements into acceptance criteria and test scenarios, support SIT and UAT planning and execution from the functional side, and confirm delivered functionality matches approved requirements.
  • Track requirement gaps, defects and process decisions through to resolution, and support business readiness, change-impact analysis and implementation evidence.

Requirements

  • Strong business analyst experience in complex SAP and manufacturing environments.
  • Broad functional knowledge of SAP and end-to-end processes, with SAP S/4HANA experience strongly preferred.
  • Solid grasp of inventory management and material-flow processes.
  • Proven ability to understand processes that span several SAP functional areas.
  • Experience documenting complex end-to-end business and system processes.
  • Strong skills in requirements gathering, process mapping, gap analysis and functional analysis.
  • Hands-on experience producing BRDs, functional requirements, workflows, traceability matrices, acceptance criteria and test scenarios.
  • Experience with interfaces, APIs, integration concepts and end-to-end data flows.
  • Experience supporting SIT, UAT and business validation.
  • Ability to translate between business and process requirements and technical teams.
  • Strong facilitation, analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working across business, operations, manufacturing and IT teams.
  • Preferred qualification: EDI or B2B integration experience.
  • Preferred qualification: manufacturing IT experience.
  • Preferred qualification: data-platform or analytics experience.
  • Preferred qualification: experience with multi-site or global SAP deployments.
  • Preferred qualification: experience documenting inventory, manufacturing and supply-chain processes.
  • Preferred qualification: experience operating between business stakeholders, SAP functional teams, architects and developers.
