B2B PHP Senior Developer, Romania

The CEE team has close to 1,000 specialists building modern applications, data platforms and AI solutions for clients including Millennium, ING, Play, Edenred, Arabian Drilling, FedEx, Leroy Merlin, Truecaller, Volotea, Schmitz Cargobull and many others.

Responsibilities

• Build software from written requirements and technical specifications.
• Propose improvements to current products and put them into the platform.
• Test, troubleshoot and maintain the core product and its databases so they stay functional and scalable.
• Help QA define acceptance tests and carry out troubleshooting.
• Help create and keep technical documentation up to date.
• Write clean, well-structured code that follows coding standards and best practices.
• Work with teams spread across the world that bring different disciplines.
• Take part in mentoring and knowledge-sharing activities.

Requirements

• At least 6+ years of experience in web application backend development, with solid working knowledge of PHP 8+ and MySQL.
• Practical understanding of OOP concepts and SOLID principles.
• Solid experience applying design patterns.
• Experience with unit and integration testing.
• Experience with SQL, APIs and GraphQL.
• Knowledge of web product development and services, with awareness of the full stack.
• Good understanding of building and operating cloud-based microservices.
• Good English communication skills, enough to work effectively with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Experience leading or mentoring others is an advantage.
• You must be working from the Romania region and hold a work permit.
