Responsibilities

• designing and developing scalable backend solutions using Golang and Python,
• building and maintaining reliable APIs and complex business workflows,
• contributing to architectural decisions and shaping the technical direction of the project,
• ensuring high code quality through automated testing and engineering best practices,
• working with modern cloud-native technologies and AI-assisted development tools,
• collaborating with an experienced engineering team to deliver reliable, high-quality software solutions,
• taking ownership of technical challenges and driving solutions in a fast-evolving environment.
• Your profile:
• strong commercial experience in developing backend applications using Golang,
• proven experience in developing applications and solutions using Python,
• solid experience with PostgreSQL, including database design and optimisation,
• proven experience in designing, developing, and maintaining backend APIs,
• experience implementing complex business workflows and large-scale state machines,
• strong knowledge of automated testing, particularly end-to-end (E2E) testing,
• experience working in an AI-first or AI-assisted software development environment,
• ability to establish reliable engineering guardrails for AI-generated code, including automated testing and E2E test coverage,
• ability to make sound technical decisions and navigate evolving requirements and architectural challenges.
• Work from the European Union region and a work permit are required.

Requirements

• experience with Kubernetes, particularly deploying and running backend services within a Kubernetes cluster,
• familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP),
• experience working with Apache Kafka and event-driven architectures,
• experience with Redis or Redis-compatible databases,
• knowledge of cloud-native and containerised backend architectures,
• experience in the fintech industry, ideally working with financial workflows related to lending, leasing, or payments,
• experience developing AI agents and agentic workflows,
• experience designing and developing systems that combine automated workflows with human decision-making or approval processes.
