Description

The company makes AI creative tools for individuals and for enterprise teams. Consumers use its platform to make images, videos, stories, and ads, while enterprise customers include marketing, creative, and studio teams at large brands, agencies, and entertainment companies.

It is a small, fast-growing team that values ownership and builds without a set playbook.

This role owns lifecycle marketing for business audiences: Business Plan customers, professionals using consumer plans for work, and enterprise leads from webinars, events, and content. The aim is to decide who gets which message, through which channel, at what moment, and when to stop. Each journey should lead either to a self-serve upgrade to the Business Plan or to a high-potential account reaching sales at the right time.

Email is one channel among several. Journeys also run through in-app messages and website touchpoints, and they draw on the existing webinar series, industry events, thought leadership, and customer stories.

You will work with RevOps on signals, scoring, and sales handoffs, with product and growth on in-app channels, and with product marketing on message content. You will also coordinate with the consumer lifecycle team on shared infrastructure, deliverability standards, and suppression rules so business users never get conflicting messages.

The role is hands-on. You will find opportunities in the data, design journeys, write or adapt copy, build and QA campaigns, and measure results. Signal data is refreshed daily and the lead base is growing by thousands each month. Business lifecycle has no existing owner, so you will design the system from the start and see results in revenue reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain segments for each business pool: Business Plan customers, business users inside the consumer base identified by work-email and behavior signals, active trials, and enterprise leads from events, webinars, and content.
  • Work with RevOps and data to set the signals and scoring that determine which journey each person enters.
  • Build and launch signal-triggered journeys, including upgrade plays for high-potential users, migration from team plans to Business, triggers for credit exhaustion and usage milestones, onboarding for new Business Plan customers, and win-back.
  • Coordinate across email, in-app messages, and website pop-ups and banners, selecting the channel that fits each moment rather than defaulting to email.
  • Build an always-on nurture layer from the content engine: webinar registration and follow-up sequences, event campaigns, and thought-leadership and case-study drips matched to funnel stage.
  • Partner with the content and product marketing teams. They decide what the message says. You decide who receives it, when, through which channel, and how it performs.
  • Set the thresholds and signals that move an account from automated nurture to a sales rep, and run the handoff with RevOps-built routing and response SLAs.
  • Own suppression rules and coordinate with consumer lifecycle so business audiences never receive duplicate or conflicting messages.
  • Build and QA every campaign yourself, covering segmentation logic, personalization, frequency caps, consent, and deliverability.
  • Track self-serve Business Plan conversions, attributed revenue, and qualified accounts passed to sales. Measure incremental impact with A/B tests and holdouts, then iterate quickly on the results.

Requirements

  • You have 4-5 years in lifecycle, CRM, retention, or growth marketing, including hands-on B2B or B2C2B work. You have nurtured business buyers or moved professional users in a consumer base onto team or business plans, and you understand how a work-email signal differs from a casual signup.
  • You have run both self-serve and sales-assisted lifecycle programs. You have converted users to paid plans without a seller involved, and you have handed high-potential accounts to sales.
  • You have 3+ years of hands-on experience with a lifecycle platform such as Customer.io, Braze, Iterable, or HubSpot. You have built event-triggered journeys, segments, and personalized campaigns, including triggers based on data the tool did not natively support.
  • You can name the programs you built and the conversion, engagement, or pipeline results they produced.
  • You have run email plus at least one other owned channel such as in-app, push, or on-site, and you pick channels based on the moment.
  • You write and edit strong copy in a business voice, and you have sound judgment on deliverability, consent, QA, and message frequency.
  • You are fluent in analytics, including cohorts, A/B tests, holdouts, and campaign and product data, and you can separate real incremental impact from noise.
  • You work daily with RevOps, product, data, and other marketing teams and keep handoffs clean.
  • You are comfortable with ambiguity, including incomplete data, a product that changes quickly, and no existing playbook. You ship, measure, and improve.

Conditions

Full-time, hybrid role based in San Carlos, California, working closely with the Enterprise GTM, RevOps, product, and growth teams.

Annual base salary of $155,000, $215,000, plus bonus and equity.
