Azure Infrastructure & DevOps Engineer

Description

You would join a technology business inside a global parent company, with 13,000+ people serving defense, national security, public safety, civilian, and military health clients for the US federal government.

The role blends Azure architecture, infrastructure as code, DevOps automation, and security remediation.

You would work with development and operations staff to modernize infrastructure, tighten security, and support major migration work.

Responsibilities

• Plan and build Azure compute, networking, and storage.
• Bring unmanaged Azure resources under source control and rework the PowerShell-based infrastructure code.
• Script and automate deployments and routine operations using IaC tools.
• Review Azure scan results and fix the critical and high-priority findings to meet security and compliance rules.
• Watch cloud environments and tune them for performance, uptime, and cost, fixing problems as they come up.
• Work across teams and advise them on Azure good practice.
• Set up CI/CD pipelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree plus 8+ years in cloud engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure work.
• Hands-on experience with Azure or AWS services, automation, and IaC. PowerShell, ARM, Terraform, or Ansible are a plus.
• Experience with cloud security remediation, compliance, and governance.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Experience working on an Agile or Scrum team.
• Active Top Secret clearance.
• Bonus: Microsoft Azure certifications (Architect, Administrator, DevOps Engineer) or AWS certifications.
• Bonus: experience with hybrid cloud, containers (Docker/Kubernetes), and advanced networking.
• Bonus: GitLab CI/CD.

Conditions

Work onsite in Washington, DC.

Base pay range for this role is $106,300 - $206,200 USD in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia.

Pay varies with office location, role, skill set, and experience.

Pay ranges are published because local law requires it.
