This is an assistant-level delivery role for a mid-senior professional. You will sit between content, technology and delivery, handling the technical side of customer communications across email, print, digital messaging and PDF. You will work independently, juggle several delivery schedules at once, and decide quickly under pressure. You will also help the Customer Communications Centre of Excellence simplify processes, update specifications and lower operational risk. You will report to the Communications Delivery Manager.
Responsibilities
Turn approved content into technical specifications and delivery briefs for each channel, so requirements are clear and ready to build.
Run implementation from start to finish, working with internal delivery teams and external third parties to build, schedule and launch communications on every in-scope platform.
Manage print proofs, test outputs and query logs, resolve issues quickly, and keep a clear record of decisions and changes.
Check live communications before and after release to confirm they are accurate, match the approved version and achieve the intended customer outcome. Escalate and fix any discrepancies.
Keep the communications inventory accurate, current and auditable after every live deployment.
Produce and update accessible PDFs, coordinate web-accessibility testing, and brief authors clearly so publication stays on schedule.
Work with stakeholders and third parties to find and carry out process improvements, including simpler workflows, better specification documents and lower risk in legacy systems.
Join a multidisciplinary squad to plan and deliver communications for different customer segments that drive positive outcomes.
Build reliable working relationships with content colleagues, digital authors, agencies, suppliers and internal teams, supporting smooth hand-offs, shared ownership and consistent quality.
Share knowledge with the Centre of Excellence, hold work to a high standard, and help shape consistent approaches to customer communications delivery.
Escalate risks and issues clearly and keep active delivery workstreams visible to the team.
Requirements
Experience in a delivery-focused role in Operations, Change Management, Marketing, CRM or Digital, where accurate and timely implementation matters.
Solid knowledge of owned channels, including email, print and digital messaging, and of the implementation processes and controls they need.
Careful, methodical proofreading of specifications, proofs, test outputs and live communications, catching and fixing discrepancies before customers see them.
Ability to understand communications-related IT systems and data, use tools such as Jira and Confluence, and turn business requirements into clear technical specifications.
Ability to manage several projects, delivery schedules, dependencies and deadlines at once in a fast-paced setting, with strong organisation skills.
Confident communication and negotiation with stakeholders and third parties, setting expectations and keeping clear accountability across the delivery chain.
Understanding of the regulatory environment and of governance, controls, approvals and audit-trail requirements, and the discipline to follow them.
Curiosity about processes and systems, with a habit of finding ways to simplify delivery, improve efficiency and reduce operational risk.
Critical thinking to investigate delivery issues, judge their impact, escalate them properly and reach practical, controlled fixes with others.
Ability to work within multidisciplinary squads and build trusted relationships across content, delivery, risk, technology and supplier teams.
Proficiency with Gen AI tools for communications delivery and operations, using them to raise output quality and efficiency.
Experience building your own AI workflows to save time on tasks such as drafting specifications, summarising test outputs or spotting process gaps.
An agentic approach to planning and problem-solving: breaking complex, multi-step challenges into smaller parts and finding clear routes forward.
Ability to assess AI outputs critically and apply your own judgement, which matters in a regulated financial services environment where accuracy and compliance are essential.
