  • Establish and manage the program baseline and its subordinate baselines.
  • Keep budgets on track using Earned Value Management or similar cost and schedule control methods and tools.
  • Manage government or customer-furnished property and information, such as GFE and CFE.
  • Manage suppliers to meet program goals.
  • Make sure the team follows internal processes, policies and applicable industry standards.
  • Keep the team within contract scope and handle changes through the control board.
  • Maintain master plans and schedules and follow them.
  • Run risk and opportunity management, covering identification, mitigation and realization.

Requirements

  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the month.
  • Business acumen: apply business and financial knowledge, tools and processes to program decisions and performance.
  • Communications: manage communication with staff and stakeholders through organized processes so program information is defined, collected, shared, understood, stored and retrieved to meet needs.
  • Issue and problem resolution: proactively spot program impacts, communicate them, monitor them and quickly resolve conflicts at all levels.
  • Program integration: orchestrate and control the management activities and processes that link program interdependencies across the life cycle.
  • Risk and opportunity: take a structured, forward-looking, analytical approach to identify risks and opportunities and set handling plans that resolve or reduce impact.
