Description

The team is building the next generation of markets technology, and the company wants a senior full stack developer with strong skills in data and event-driven design and implementation.

The role is focused on delivery and covers design, engineering, implementation and quality.

Responsibilities

• Build features end to end as a junior software engineer.
• Take on tasks and stories alone or in pairs through pair programming, within a wider team.
• Work closely with stakeholders across the business to get projects delivered.
• Raise requirements questions and blockers early enough to manage delivery risk.
• Help shape designs and system architectures.

Requirements

• Work as a driven engineer who enjoys writing code and keeps learning.
• Have a solid grounding in core Java.
• Know the basics of front-end technologies: JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML and CSS.
• Be familiar with a front-end framework such as React or Angular.
• Care about writing clean, maintainable code.
• Have a basic understanding of SQL or NoSQL databases.
• Preferred: experience in financial services.
• Preferred: understanding of DevOps automation tools and CI/CD concepts.
• Preferred: knowledge of resilient enterprise systems.
• Preferred: experience writing and deploying services as containers to a Kubernetes environment, such as Red Hat OpenShift.
• Preferred: experience with pub/sub infrastructure, such as Kafka.
• Education: a bachelor's or master's degree in a technology discipline.

Conditions

Full time role in the Technology group, within Applications Development.

Salary range is $79,320.00 to $110,680.00.
