Application Engineer - Bilingual in Korean (TN)

Description

You will support IT and manufacturing applications at EV battery production sites across North America.

The role mixes IT skills with plant operations to support factory automation, fix production system problems, and raise manufacturing efficiency.

It suits someone who likes technical problem solving and works well in a production setting.

Responsibilities

• Find and resolve faults in plant IT and manufacturing software for EV battery sites.
• Watch and maintain manufacturing systems so they run steadily and reliably.
• Handle production-related system issues promptly.
• Help with system implementations, upgrades, and continuing maintenance.
• Support factory automation software rollout and testing alongside equipment and PLC engineers.
• Liaise with plant users, IT vendors, and internal teams to close technical issues.
• Train users and give them technical support on manufacturing systems.
• Write technical documents, reports, and user guides.
• Work with cross-functional teams across different cultures.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, engineering, or a related field, or at least 3 years of experience in manufacturing, IT systems, or manufacturing system management.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Clear communication and good customer service.
• Self-motivated, able to work alone and within a team.
• Preferred: experience with Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle SQL.
• Preferred: experience supporting manufacturing systems such as MES, WMS, ERP, or MCS.
• Preferred: familiarity with factory automation environments.
• Preferred: proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Preferred: Korean language skills are a plus.
• Preferred: experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.

Conditions

Full-time position.

Travel of up to 30% is required.

Business trips can last 1 to 5 weeks, depending on project needs.
