AI Software Engineer

The team is hiring two AI Software Engineers to help develop and maintain distributed, cloud-based systems. The role centres on strong object-oriented programming and the.NET ecosystem, with hands-on work in modern cloud tooling and containers.

You will work where traditional software engineering meets newer AI technology, and your work will affect system performance, scalability and new ideas.

Location: Hybrid, Buffalo, NY.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain full stack applications using C and the.NET framework.
• Develop and extend features for distributed cloud systems running on Azure, and implement new business logic as requirements change.
• Add generative AI and LLM capabilities to applications through orchestration frameworks, and optimise them.
• Package applications in containers using Docker, Kubernetes and/or Azure Container Apps.
• Support and troubleshoot live production systems to keep them highly available.
• Work with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, reliable solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code that follows OOP principles.
• Take part in code reviews and help improve how the team works.

Requirements

• Five years of professional software development experience.
• A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong C skills and solid object-oriented programming principles.
• Proven experience with the.NET framework and.NET Core.
• Familiarity with modern web frameworks such as React, Angular or Vue.js.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including DevOps, messaging systems and infrastructure as code.
• Practical knowledge of containers such as Docker, Kubernetes and/or Azure Container Apps.
• An understanding of distributed system architectures and design patterns.
• Experience with REST APIs and tools such as Postman, Insomnia or REST Client.
• Experience with unit and integration testing.
• Nice to have: experience with Blazor (Server or WebAssembly).
• Nice to have: experience with LLM orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, Semantic Memory or similar.

Conditions

Base salary range in Buffalo, NY: $110,000.00 to $145,000.00 per year.

The range is the low and high end of the company's salary band for this role in this location. Actual pay depends on location, experience and performance, and the range is one part of total compensation, which may also include annual bonuses, an employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy and region-specific benefits.
