AI Applied Senior Engineering Lead

The company's Banking Technology group is hiring a hands-on AI Applied Senior Engineering Lead to build and ship AI solutions for Investment, Corporate, and Commercial Banking.

You will work in small agile squads on agentic AI frameworks and generative AI tools, moving from rapid prototypes and MVPs to production-grade capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy scalable agentic AI frameworks and generative AI solutions for key business use cases, with attention to robustness, performance, security, and reliability.
• Build and connect agentic AI systems that use several model providers and platforms, such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google APIs.
• Create full-stack applications that bring LLM-driven workflows together with AI coding tools such as Devin and GitHub Copilot.
• Ship in small MVP-first steps and iterate quickly, experimenting continuously.
• Define and apply metrics, evaluation methods, and feedback loops that keep improving how AI systems perform and behave.
• Research, prototype, and adopt new work in agent-based, autonomous, and generative AI.
• Write code alongside cross-functional teams, and advise and mentor junior engineers.
• Make sure AI solutions fit banking and financial services requirements, limits, and business goals.
• Other job-related duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

• Strong Python and/or Java (Spring Boot) skills, plus working knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript with Angular or Node.js. Full-stack experience is a plus.
• Solid grounding in core AI concepts such as knowledge representation, planning, and multi-agent systems.
• Hands-on work with LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), prompt engineering, MCPs, and agent frameworks such as Google ADK.
• Practical use of ML frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, NumPy, and Pandas.
• Familiarity with AI coding tools such as Devin, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, and Antigravity.
• Working command of Git, CI/CD, testing, code review, agile delivery, application resiliency, and security.
• Experience designing API-first, microservices-based, and event-driven architectures, including data engineering patterns for AI systems.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to explain complex technical ideas clearly.
• Solid understanding of banking and financial services in regulated settings.
• Nice to have: data science experience (statistical modeling, experimentation) and an interest in mentoring junior AI engineers.
• 10+ years of progressive software engineering experience, with a strong record of hands-on coding.
• 2+ years focused on AI software development, LLM-based solutions, agentic systems, or machine learning.
• Proven record of delivering enterprise-scale AI capabilities into production.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Robotics, or a related quantitative field.

Conditions

Full-time position.

Salary range: $145,100.00 - $217,700.00.
