AHT - GNC Engineers - Level 2 or 3 (Chandler)

Description

The role is a GNC engineering position in Chandler, AZ, on a team that builds software and simulation tools for missile guidance, navigation and control.

The job is fully on-site. Relocation assistance may be available.

An interim Secret clearance is required to start.

Travel is expected at about 10% of the time.

The company's space sector works on technologies that support national security, and the team is looking for people who bring new ideas and enjoy building solutions from scratch.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, verify and test high-quality software and simulation toolchains.
• Work on 6 degree of freedom (6DoF) simulation to design and test missile flight code.
• Use 6DoF simulation models to assess system performance.
• Be an active, integral member of the team and bring your enthusiasm for new ideas.
• Help the team build and deploy technologies that matter to national security, working with agility, flexibility and collaboration to test creative approaches.

Requirements

• Level 2: a bachelor's degree plus 2 years of professional experience, or a master's degree plus 1 year. The company will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in place of a degree.
• Level 3: a bachelor's degree plus 5 years of professional experience, or a master's degree plus 3 years, or a PhD plus 1 year. The company will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in place of a degree.
• Both levels: the ability to obtain an active U.S. Government Secret security clearance.
• Both levels: directly related Guidance Navigation and Control (GNC) experience.
• Experience with missile flight dynamics, autopilot and guidance design, and implementing them in missile flight code.
• Experience with various trajectory optimization software and tools.
• Preferred: a master's or PhD in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Preferred: a Top Secret clearance.

Conditions

Position is 100% on-site in Chandler, AZ.

Travel of about 10% of the time.

The posted salary range is a general guideline. Final base pay depends on the scope of the role and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Primary level salary range: $79,300.00 to $118,900.00.

Secondary level salary range: $98,400.00 to $147,600.00.
