Description

The company makes technology that helps manufacturers become more productive, sustainable and agile, and has more than 28,000 employees.

The team is building the next generation of AI-native industrial automation that runs on current edge compute platforms. These systems learn, adapt and operate on their own close to machines and processes.

You will work as an AI engineer or scientist on real-time learning, reasoning, optimization and autonomous operation, where edge AI, control, autonomy, embedded intelligence and live operational analytics meet.

You will help decide how future industrial systems are designed and run.

Responsibilities

  • Build AI-native industrial systems that reason and decide in real time, adjust processes as conditions change, act autonomously, learn from operating data and coordinate across distributed assets.
  • Design and deploy AI on current edge platforms that use CPU and GPU acceleration.
  • Combine generative AI and small language models, machine learning and reinforcement learning, optimization and control, streaming and event-driven analytics, and distributed edge inference into working architectures.
  • Keep AI execution low-latency inside industrial sites while balancing performance, reliability and operating limits.
  • Connect AI with automation systems, robots, sensors, controllers and plant infrastructure.
  • Work alongside AI research, controls, embedded systems and industrial operations teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Preferred: 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Preferred: background in edge AI, machine learning systems engineering, autonomous systems, industrial AI, or embedded and distributed AI, including work under resource or real-time constraints.
  • Preferred: software engineering skills in Python and modern AI/ML frameworks.
  • Preferred: familiarity with edge inference optimization, GPU computing, streaming and real-time systems, distributed AI, and control and optimization.
  • Preferred: ability to turn advanced AI concepts into practical deployments in operational settings.
  • Preferred: curiosity, creativity, and enthusiasm for building systems that interact with the physical world.
