Project Manager

This role sits in the Sensing, Safety, and Industrial Components (SIC) business and leads new product development projects. These include new product introductions, brand label work, and co-developed products, all run under an Agile framework.

You will work with Engineering, Product Marketing, Manufacturing and other groups to deliver a product that succeeds. You will plan schedules, watch the budget, and help the team manage risk.

You will report to the Sr. Manager-SIC PMO. The role is hybrid and based in Katowice, Poland.

Responsibilities

• Plan and run product development projects, coordinate resources, and manage project finances.
• Lead cross-functional teams through new product design, including manufacturing, sourcing and quality.
• Support the Agile framework used by each of your projects.
• Track the timeline, key milestones and budget.
• Find, reduce and report project risks and issues to stakeholders.
• Understand enough of software, firmware, mechanical, electrical and hardware engineering to take part in planning and risk discussions.
• Report progress to business and senior management and make sure project commitments are met.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
• Preferred: about 8 years of related experience.
• Preferred: experience managing projects in an engineering-focused product development setting.
• Preferred: a bachelor of science in an engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Preferred: a Project Management certificate or PMP certification.
• Preferred: experience with or certification in Agile methods, such as certified Scrum Master.
• Preferred: experience planning projects in tools such as Microsoft Project or Smartsheet.
• Preferred: experience with the Atlassian suite, including Jira, Jira Align and Confluence.
• Preferred: experience with standard product development processes, including stage gating.
• Preferred: demonstrated project experience across mechanical, electrical and firmware engineering.

Conditions

Hybrid work: you are expected to be at a company location on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, unless a business need takes you out of the office.
