SaaS - Flight Analytics Platform - Data Science Co-op - Spring 2027

Description

The company builds flight analytics software and is hiring a data science co-op for its SaaS team. You will work with data science, engineering, product and business colleagues on projects that affect product performance, customer experience, operations and data-driven decisions.

You will learn from experienced staff, build your professional network and see how data science drives growth in a SaaS business.

The co-op gives you practical work experience, professional development and mentoring. It is also meant to prepare you for future full-time roles in data science, analytics, software or related technical work.

Responsibilities

• Look through product and business data to find patterns, trends, risks and opportunities.
• Create and refine dashboards, reports and visualizations that help teams decide what to do.
• Help build data models and machine learning solutions for customer behavior, forecasting, segmentation, recommendations or operational improvements.
• Work with large datasets drawn from product usage, customer interactions, sales, support and other business systems.
• Partner with engineering, product, customer success and operations to turn business questions into analysis plans.
• Help clean data, engineer features, validate results and explore data to improve data quality and model performance.
• Present findings to technical and non-technical audiences through presentations, summaries and visuals.
• Support experiments and measurement work, including A/B tests, KPI tracking and performance analysis.
• Record your methods, assumptions and results so others can reproduce, follow and act on the work.
• Take part in team learning, mentoring and development, and learn how SaaS products and operations run.

Requirements

• Be currently enrolled in an Associate's, Bachelor's or Master's program at an accredited university, or in a credentialed technical training program. Accepted majors include Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Informatics, Management Information Systems, Software Engineering, or another relevant STEM field.
• Have experience in data analysis, statistics, programming or software/data projects from coursework, internships, research or personal work.
• Have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, not rounded.
• Be willing to work in Austin, TX.
• Have reliable transportation, since many sites have no public transit.

Conditions

Offers are conditional on passing a background investigation and drug screen. You must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. The company will not sponsor employment visas for this role, now or later.
