Description

You will join the Advanced Analytics & Modeling Center of Excellence, which turns complex business questions into scalable analytical tools, clear insights and measurable results across the US portfolio.

The team is intentionally flat: a few capability Directors and a flexible group of Associate Director-level leads, working alongside the Hyderabad analytics organization.

You report to the Executive Director, Advanced Analytics & Modeling, and work as a senior individual contributor. You will be assigned across launches, therapeutic areas and enterprise initiatives.

This is not a reactive shared-services or project-management role. You own analytical engagements from defining the business question through choosing methods, running the work and recommending a decision. Success is measured by whether business decisions got better, not by how many analyses were delivered.

The location is ideal in East Hanover, NJ, but remote work may be possible depending on legal entity. Relocation is not provided. For remote work, home office costs and travel or lodging to East Hanover for periodic in-person meetings are at your expense. Working hours and travel, domestic or international, are set by the hiring manager. The role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

  • Join a bench of five Associate Director-level Advanced Analytics Leads, deployed to priority enterprise, launch, portfolio and in-market work as the Executive Director and capability Directors direct.
  • Work across three capability areas: Promotion Effectiveness, Measurement & Resource Optimization; Key Drivers & Action Planning Analytics; and Predictive Modeling & Precision Health.
  • Hold a primary capability home for methodological depth, and contribute to other capability areas as demand and priorities change.
  • Own assigned analytical engagements end to end, from framing the problem to giving executives a recommendation, under the methodological direction of the relevant capability Director.
  • Direct and quality-check analytical work done by Hyderabad team members on your engagements. You have no direct reports.
  • Apply enterprise analytical standards and reusable approaches, and contribute to them without setting them.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of progressive experience in advanced analytics, data science, decision science, commercial analytics, marketing analytics, econometrics, operations research or a related quantitative field.
  • A bachelor's degree in a quantitative subject such as statistics, economics, engineering, mathematics, operations research or data science. An advanced degree is preferred.
  • Proven depth in at least one of: promotion effectiveness and marketing mix modeling, ROI and response-curve analysis, resource optimization, causal inference and experimentation, driver analysis and performance diagnostics, segmentation and archetyping, or predictive and patient-level modeling.
  • Experience leading analytical work from problem framing through to an executive recommendation.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare or a similarly complex, data-rich commercial industry is preferred.
  • Experience working with large, complex datasets and turning them into a joined-up view of performance or opportunity.
  • Experience working directly with business stakeholders and presenting findings to senior audiences.
  • Desirable: breadth across more than one CoE capability area, including promotion effectiveness and resource optimization, key drivers and action planning, and or predictive modeling and precision health, plus experience supporting product launches and in-market brand performance.
  • Desirable: experience with subnational, account, customer or patient-level analytics, including work with offshore or globally distributed analytics teams.
  • Desirable: experience building reusable analytical capabilities rather than only project-based work, and experience during a large-scale organizational transformation or operating model redesign.
  • Skills listed for the role: artificial intelligence (AI), biostatistics, business value creation, change management, curious mindset, data governance, data literacy, data quality, data science, data visualization, deep learning, generative AI, graph algorithms, learning agility, machine learning (ML), machine learning algorithms, neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), organizational awareness, pandas Python library, Python (programming language), R programming, stakeholder engagement, statistical analysis, Structured Query Language (SQL), time series analysis.

Conditions

The expected salary range is $176,400 to $327,600 per year.

The final offer depends on factors including skills and experience, and pay is reviewed periodically after joining. The company may change the published range based on company and market factors.

The role is hybrid, with East Hanover, NJ the preferred site, and remote work may be possible depending on legal entity.

Working hours and travel, domestic or international, are set by the hiring manager and will be required at the manager's discretion.

Benefits

  • A performance-based cash incentive, and possibly eligibility for annual equity awards depending on level.
  • US-based eligible employees receive a full benefits package covering health, life and disability, plus a 401(k) with company contribution and match, and other benefits.
  • Generous time off, including vacation, personal days, holidays and other leave.
