Description

The company is an AI-native travel platform that has spent a decade building its own technology and supply for business travel. It serves more than 40,000 customers and nearly 2 million travelers, plus travel and AI companies that build on its infrastructure. One system runs business travel, group travel, human agents and AI agents.

The company has been named TravelTech's Reservation Platform of the Year (2026), appeared on Inc.'s Power Partners list (2026), and was listed among Built In's Best Places to Work (2020, 2026).

The team is looking for a Senior Data Analyst to build and own the data and analytics behind the internal finance function. You will work directly with the Head of Finance. Your work will use data, AI and automation to make finance insights faster, more accurate and less manual. You will build the models, pipelines and analyses that leadership, the board and investors depend on.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the lead data analyst for the finance team, working with the Head of Finance to define analytical needs and turn open-ended questions into rigorous, data-driven answers.
  • Design and build the finance data layer in Snowflake, with clean, well-documented models and pipelines that combine ERP, billing, payroll and operational data into one trusted source.
  • Apply AI and automation to remove manual finance work, such as automated reconciliations, anomaly detection, self-serve reporting and AI-assisted analysis that shortens month-end and planning cycles.
  • Build and maintain finance's BI dashboards in Looker so leadership can see revenue, margin, operating expenses and cash in real time.
  • Use advanced SQL to explore large, complex datasets and identify the drivers of revenue, margin and cost performance.
  • Apply statistical methods such as regression, time-series forecasting and driver analysis to improve forecast accuracy and support budgeting and long-range planning.
  • Explain the reasons behind financial trends, size the opportunities and make clear recommendations.
  • Analyze operating expenses, headcount and vendor spend to find efficiencies and protect profitability as the company grows.
  • Work with Data Engineering to set data definitions, raise data quality and build reusable data assets for advanced analytics and machine learning.
  • Translate complex findings into clear, concise insights for the executive team and the board.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Operations Research or a closely related quantitative field.
  • 5+ years as a Data or Business Analyst with a record of extracting value from complex datasets, ideally alongside Finance or FP&A.
  • Advanced SQL and hands-on experience building data models and pipelines. dbt experience is a plus.
  • Strong grounding in statistics and econometrics, including regression, hypothesis testing and forecasting.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools and automation to speed up analysis and remove manual workflows. Python is a strong plus.
  • Solid financial literacy: you understand P&L structure, budgeting and forecasting, and how the figures connect.
  • Excellent communication, with the ability to turn complex analyses into sharp narratives for senior leadership.
  • Experience with Snowflake and Looker is a plus. Familiarity with NetSuite or a similar ERP is a bonus.
  • A curious mindset and the drive to dig deeper into the reasons behind the data.
