Description

The company is the company, an AI-native platform for travel. It has spent about ten years building its own technology and travel supply for business travel, and serves more than 40,000 customers and nearly 2 million travelers. Other travel and AI companies also build on its infrastructure, and one system supports business travel, group travel, human agents and AI agents.

The company has been recognised as TravelTech's Reservation Platform of the Year (2026), named to Inc.'s Power Partners list (2026), and included in Built In's Best Places to Work (2020, 2026).

The role is for an Engineering Manager who will drive customer activation, engagement and expansion across the company's full travel marketplace, including Flights and Partner Hub. You will lead a team that ships quickly, improves continuously and builds experimentation into how it delivers and learns. You will work with product, data and design to find ways to shorten time-to-value, improve stickiness and drive wider product adoption through testing and iteration.

Responsibilities

  • Lead an engineering team that values technical quality, strong ownership and fast execution. Raise the bar for talent, and help builders solve hard marketplace problems while keeping people accountable and growing.
  • Own the full development lifecycle of engineering projects, and bring in AI-driven practices that improve quality and delivery. Use current approaches so that speed to market comes from the team's velocity, while every initiative meets the standards for security, scalability and excellence.
  • Improve efficiency through agile methods and sound engineering practice, using automation and advanced workflows to raise team velocity. Keep refining processes and tooling to boost productivity, so fast delivery and high-quality output are the norm on every project.
  • Connect engineering with other teams and keep priorities aligned through clear communication. Turn complex technical topics into practical insights for business stakeholders and leadership.
  • Build data-driven, consumer-grade solutions that anticipate what travelers need, and bring in new technologies and strategies that deepen the product. Make sure technical decisions scale well and support business growth and long-term technical success.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of engineering experience, including at least 5 years in a management role, with a record of leading teams through complex projects.
  • Strong leadership that gets results at high speed and builds a performance-focused culture. You solve problems decisively, use an AI-first approach to handle competing priorities, and keep communication efficient so the team stays agile and ahead of schedule.
  • Solid technical background in some or all of the core stack: Node.js, Ruby on Rails, React, AWS (Lambda/Terraform) and Datadog. You use tools such as Claude and Cursor to speed up delivery and keep performance and observability high.
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field. A master's is preferred. Equivalent professional experience can be accepted instead.
  • Working knowledge of agile methods such as Scrum and Kanban. A strategic, results-focused approach to engineering and team leadership, with adaptability and a drive to keep improving.
