Description

The company is an IT consulting services company that delivers technology solutions to its customers, working alongside its consultants.

The team is seeking a Project Manager to support the Front Office of the Office of Mission Acquisition Solutions (OMAS) within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). The role leads enterprise-level projects, strategic initiatives, operational reporting, and executive coordination for OMAS leadership.

The ideal candidate has a solid background in federal project management, enterprise resource planning (ERP), performance management, and coordinating across functions. You will turn leadership direction into concrete plans, analyze organizational data, prepare executive reporting and briefings, and take initiatives from planning to completion with little supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Lead projects, special initiatives, and leadership priorities that span multiple organizations, from planning through delivery.
  • Build and keep up project plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, risk registers, action trackers, and deliverables.
  • Spot potential problems early, anticipate what leadership will need, clear blockers, and push actions to closure.
  • Collect, check, combine, and analyze data from OMAS centers, divisions, and program offices.
  • Run recurring reporting, including weekly operational reports, Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), risk registers, organizational assessments, and performance metrics.
  • Produce accurate, timely reports and dashboards that help executives make decisions.
  • Organize executive meetings with the Head of the Contracting Activity (HCA), the Deputy HCA, the Chief of Staff, and internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare briefings, slide decks, talking points, agendas, meeting materials, background notes, and leadership summaries.
  • Keep leadership action trackers current, making sure decisions, commitments, and follow-ups are recorded, owned, and closed.
  • Support OMAS strategy, workforce efforts, process improvements, customer initiatives, governance, and performance goals.
  • Work with Center Directors, Division Directors, Branch Chiefs, Program Managers, the Procurement Operations Services Division (POSD), and other stakeholders.
  • Turn leadership direction into workstreams, track progress, and stay accountable until completion.
  • Oversee contract performance, deliverables, quality control, staffing, and compliance with contract terms.
  • Act as the main contractor contact for the Office of Acquisitions (OA) and the Assistant Secretary for Financial Resources (ASFR).
  • Make sure the right qualified people are assigned to meet contract requirements.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and report on performance problems, staffing needs, risks, and mitigation plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year institution.
  • At least eight (8) years of technical experience.
  • At least four (4) years of project management experience supporting organizational management and technical staff in complex ERP environments, including complex projects worth multiple millions of dollars.
  • Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Experience managing schedules, staffing, deliverables, risks, stakeholder communication, and client relationships.
  • Experience working within federal laws, regulations, procedures, and project management best practices.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to juggle several priorities, coordinate across organizational lines, and work independently with little direction.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust, as required.
  • Preferred: experience supporting HHS, federal acquisition organizations, or other federal civilian agencies.
  • Preferred: experience with enterprise project management offices (PMOs), organizational performance reporting, OKRs, dashboards, and risk management.
  • Preferred: experience supporting executive leadership, strategic initiatives, governance, and organizational assessments.
  • Preferred: familiarity with ERP systems and enterprise business processes.
  • Preferred: understanding of Agile methodologies and Six Sigma principles.

Conditions

Public Trust clearance: you must be able to obtain it.

Equal opportunity: applicants are considered without regard to protected characteristics.
