Description

This is a general application for anticipated 2027 IT and software internships in Renton, Washington.

The company makes games, toys, entertainment and experiences, and interns support its teams and brands.

No single role is attached. Projects are confirmed on a rolling basis, and one application keeps you under consideration for several projects across participating teams and brands.

If your profile fits a project, a recruiter may reach out with details and next steps. Applying does not guarantee an interview or a placement.

Depending on confirmed projects and business needs, your internship may cover one or more of these areas: software and application engineering; data engineering, analytics and AI enablement; cybersecurity and risk; cloud, infrastructure and platform engineering; enterprise systems and business technology; quality engineering, automation and technical product support.

Responsibilities

  • Depending on your placement, you may design, build, test or improve software, data products, automations or internal tools.
  • Turn a user or business need into clear technical requirements and a workable solution.
  • Debug problems, review data, record decisions and help keep systems reliable and secure.
  • Work through code reviews, agile routines, demos and feedback with technical and non-technical colleagues.
  • Explore emerging technologies, including AI, and use them responsibly where they improve the work.
  • Own a defined project or feature and share the results with teammates and leaders.

Requirements

  • You are enrolled in a university program in computer science, software engineering, information systems, data science, cybersecurity, computer engineering or a closely related field.
  • You have growing skill in at least one relevant language, platform or technical discipline.
  • You solve problems logically, stay curious and pick up unfamiliar tools readily.
  • You can explain technical ideas, ask for feedback and work well with others.
  • You care about accessibility, security, privacy, reliability and responsible technology.
  • Optional: a GitHub profile, technical portfolio, hackathon entry, or research or class project. No portfolio is required.
  • Listed majors are examples only. Related programs, coursework and transferable projects count, and prior internship experience is not needed.
  • You are enrolled in an accredited university degree program and will stay enrolled for at least one academic term after the internship.
  • Final-year students are generally prioritized. Students with about 2 academic years left are also encouraged to apply. Eligibility depends on program stage, not age.
  • You can commit to the full program schedule and work model for your assigned location.
  • You meet the work authorization requirements listed below.
  • If you do not match every preferred skill, still apply. The company values potential, curiosity and different paths to the same ability.
  • If your main interest is gameplay mechanics, systems, levels or player progression rather than the underlying technology, apply to Digital Game Design instead.

Conditions

Full-time internship of 40 hours per week, running June to August for 10 to 12 weeks.

Most roles are hybrid with 3 days per week in the office. Some roles require onsite work 5 days per week. The project-specific schedule is shared before interviews.

Based in Renton, Washington. Placements may support the company's teams, depending on confirmed projects and business needs.

This is a paid internship. Hourly pay varies by degree level and year in school. The Renton hourly range is $44 - $46 USD.

Relocation assistance is available to candidates who meet the applicable distance and other eligibility criteria.

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis from October to March, as needed.

The Early Careers team reviews applications as projects are confirmed. If your profile fits a project, a recruiter will contact you with the team, project, location, work model, dates and pay.

Selected candidates interview with the hiring team. Timing varies by project, so keep your contact details and availability up to date.

If another function better fits your skills and interests, the company may consider you with your permission. No duplicate application is needed.

You must be legally authorized to work in the United States. The company cannot provide immigration sponsorship for this role.

Benefits

  • Annual and long-term incentives may be available, depending on role, location and eligibility, as part of total compensation.
  • Benefits include health and wellness, time off, financial well-being, life and family support, volunteering and community initiatives, learning and development, and exclusive perks.
  • Join one global intern cohort with shared structured onboarding and weekly learning and development.
  • Work on real business priorities with mentorship and feedback.
  • Grow professionally through brand immersion sessions and time with leaders.
  • Meet peers through networking and social events, and volunteer alongside the intern community.
