Software Configuration Analyst - Level 3 or 4

Description

The company's Space Systems group in the Huntsville, AL area is hiring a Sr. Principal or Principal Software Configuration Analyst.

You will help build, enforce and upkeep software configuration management (SCM) processes for programs of all sizes, following the organization's Standard Software Process (OSSP) and contract terms.

Responsibilities

• Put together configured builds for testing and delivery.
• Run and manage the SCM tools.
• Facilitate control board meetings as well as take the minutes, produce build and delivery documents, and lead process improvement work.
• Set up and roll out procedures that govern changes to program data and products.

Requirements

• Level 3: a bachelor's degree in a STEM field (science, technology, engineering or math) from an accredited university plus 5 years of related work experience, or a master's degree plus 3 years of related work experience, or 1 year of related work experience with a PhD in STEM.
• Level 4: a bachelor's degree in a STEM field from an accredited university (preferred) plus 8 years of related experience, or a master's degree plus 6 years of related experience, or 4 years of experience with a PhD.
• Prior work experience in software configuration management.
• Experience coordinating and creating configured builds for testing and delivery.
• Understanding of SCM principles, concepts, industry practices and standards, as the role requires.
• Experience with Git, Bitbucket, Jira, ClearCase, ClearQuest, Linux and Windows.
• Ability to obtain a DoD-issued clearance. U.S. citizenship is required.
• Preferred: experience implementing SCM on a large-scale program.
• Preferred: experience configuring and administering DevOps tools such as Jenkins and GitLab Pipelines/Runners to streamline CI/CD processes.
• Preferred: scripting skills in Bash, Python or PowerShell.
• Preferred: an active DoD Secret clearance or higher.

Conditions

A Secret clearance is required before you start.

Travel is about 10% of the time.

No relocation assistance is available.

Primary level salary range: $98,900.00 to $148,300.00. Secondary level salary range: $123,400.00 to $185,000.00.

The salary range is a general guide. The offer depends on the scope of the role, your experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
