Description

The company's Agile Solution Factory is hiring a senior Foundry developer for the Army Vantage program on Palantir.

You will design, build and deploy advanced solutions that use the platform's data integration, analytics and operational tools, and connect them with other DoW systems such as ADVANA so they work together across platforms.

The team values creative problem solvers who can tackle complex technical and procedural issues. Adaptability and constructive work with a technically varied, geographically spread team are essential.

You will be a core member of an Agile Scrum team of technical professionals focused on the customer's mission and growth goals, working closely with teammates and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has Palantir Foundry experience, has built and shipped a production Workshop application, and has modeled or extended an Ontology, including object types, links and actions.

You will work with stakeholders to refine requirements, track your work on an agile board, meet user needs within standards, and report progress in developer team sessions.

Responsibilities

  • Build complex, multi-page Workshop UIs with variables, events, object views and wired-in Actions.
  • Work with Ontology object types, link types, Action types and permissioning.
  • Develop pipelines using Code Repositories or Pipeline Builder, including incremental transforms and scheduling.
  • Monitor data health and lineage using expectations and checks, and confirm that pipelines can be trusted.
  • Apply security and governance controls, including markings, restricted views and mandatory controls.
  • Read, debug and write Python and PySpark.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen with an active Secret DoD security clearance. Interim clearance will be considered.
  • A college degree (B.S. or M.S.) in Information Assurance, Computer Science, Management Information Systems or a related field. Experience may be considered in place of education.
  • At least 4 years of related technical experience.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong collaboration skills and a desire to work as part of a team.
  • Highly responsible and team-oriented, with a very strong work ethic and the ability to work independently.
  • Comfortable working at a fast pace in a changing environment.
  • Able to resolve complex technical problems with practical solutions.
  • Experience working on a Scrumban team in an Agile environment.
  • Able to work well with limited oversight.
  • Build complex, multi-page applications with variables, events, object views and fully wired Actions in Workshop.
  • Strong understanding of object types, link types, Action types and permissioning structures.
  • Proficient with Code Repositories or Pipeline Builder, including incremental transforms and pipeline scheduling.
  • Familiar with expectations, data checks and methods for pipeline trust and lineage visibility.
  • Experienced with data markings, restricted views and mandatory access controls.
  • Able to read, debug and write Python and PySpark for data engineering work.
  • Proficient with Python and modern ML frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
  • Highly desirable: experience with Palantir Vantage, ADVANA or similar data analytics platforms.
  • Familiar with data modeling, ontology design and pipeline orchestration in Vantage and/or ADVANA.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Nice to have: TypeScript functions and custom React widgets for Workshop, meaning code beyond configuration.
  • Nice to have: OSDK application development outside Workshop.
  • Nice to have: MCP experience, including Palantir MCP and Ontology MCP.
  • Nice to have: Palantir certification in the Data Engineer or Application Developer track.
  • Nice to have: experience with DoW (DoD) ADVANA.
  • Nice to have: experience with Palantir MAVEN.
  • Nice to have: experience developing in Army 365 (A365).
  • Nice to have: familiarity with the Azure Data/AI stack, such as Azure Databricks, Synapse or Data Factory.
  • Nice to have: experience building and maintaining applications with the Microsoft Power Platform in an Azure environment, including model-driven and canvas apps, Power BI, Power Automate, Power Pages or Portals, Portal Management MDA and Power Apps Pipeline.
  • Nice to have: experience developing with Databricks.
