Full Stack Software Engineer, Mid level

Description

You will join a team on a contract program building cloud-native applications made of microservices. These applications support situational awareness and collaboration, are heavily used, and are critical to the mission.

The role is in the Engineering category and requires an active TS/SCI clearance, with security as a constant concern in your work.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain and improve cloud-native applications written in Java and JavaScript.
• Develop features that strengthen situational awareness and collaboration for critical systems.
• Work with colleagues from other disciplines using Agile methods.
• Design and run microservices in cloud environments.
• Take part in every stage of development, from first design through to release.
• Keep code quality high through testing and peer reviews.
• Track new industry practices and cloud tools.
• Join Agile ceremonies and help the team improve how it works.

Requirements

• Required: Hold an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance. A polygraph is preferred.
• Required: Have 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Required: Hold Security+ certification, or be willing to earn it within 3 months of joining the program.
• Required: Be proficient in Java and JavaScript.
• Required: Have worked in a Linux environment.
• Required: Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or have graduated from an accredited coding bootcamp.
• Desired: A track record of delivering complex, mission-critical applications.
• Desired: Experience with Kubernetes or another containerized environment.
• Desired: Knowledge of Elasticsearch.
• Desired: Familiarity with the Java Spring Boot framework.
• Desired: An understanding of microservice architecture.
• Desired: Experience with Agile methodologies.
• Desired: AWS developer experience.
• Desired: Knowledge of WebSockets.
• Desired: Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs.

Conditions

Full-time, regular position.

Travel of up to 10%, within the continental US.

Minimum clearance to start: TS/SCI with polygraph.

Proposed salary range: $79,400 to $162,700.

Final pay depends on factors including location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
