Description

The company is a sports and gaming media network with hundreds of millions of visitors a year. It recently became part of the company, and the two are combining Legend's audience, brands and product expertise with the company' real-time data, technology and capabilities to build the next generation of fan-facing media and advertising.

The company has more than 20 years in sports and gaming marketing. It has 600+ people across 22+ countries, and growth is expected as a standard part of the job.

The Sports business is entering its next phase and is bringing together technology, data, design and product expertise to build experiences for millions of sports fans worldwide. The company is hiring a VP of Product to lead and shape that next phase.

The role is a senior Product leadership position with real scale, visibility and influence, and is a good fit for someone who wants to build strong teams and leave a lasting mark on a growing global business.

The company does not expect candidates to meet every qualification and encourages applications from people who are interested but do not match all of them.

Responsibilities

  • Report directly to the Chief Sports Officer and lead Product and Design across the global Sports portfolio.
  • Help shape what the company builds and how it builds it.
  • Shape the strategy for some of the best-known sports betting and media brands, turning ambitious business goals into product visions and clear roadmaps.
  • Move the products beyond heavily used tools into experiences that fans rely on when making betting decisions, deepening engagement, growing the member base and adding value for customers and the business.
  • Work with Pillar leadership to set product visions for each property and link them in one Sports-wide roadmap that balances global opportunities with commercial agreements.
  • Take the Product operating model forward and strengthen how Product, Design, Engineering and commercial leaders work together, bringing data, customer insight and experimentation into key decisions.
  • Use AI to change how the company's products and experiences are created and how teams find and deliver ideas.
  • Coach and develop Product and Design leaders and teams across international markets.
  • Turn business and product strategy into clear priorities, roadmaps, measurable outcomes and high-quality delivery.
  • Improve how teams plan, prioritise, collaborate and deliver, and keep senior stakeholders aligned.
  • Build analytics, competitor intelligence, user insight, discovery and experimentation into product work so teams decide faster and check their decisions sooner.
  • Find and apply AI opportunities that speed up building and create smarter, more valuable customer experiences.

Requirements

  • Significant experience leading Product teams in ambitious consumer technology businesses, across several brands, markets or product areas.
  • A proven record of setting product strategy and delivering bold visions with measurable results.
  • Experience building and improving high-performing Product organisations, operating models and delivery practices, and leading teams through change.
  • A data-led approach to Product that combines analytics, experimentation, customer insight and commercial judgement.
  • Strong people leadership and a real interest in coaching and developing Product Managers, Product leaders and Designers.
  • Confident executive stakeholder management: you can influence, challenge constructively and build alignment, and you have worked closely with Engineering to turn strategy into scalable, high-quality products.
  • Experience in fast-growing consumer businesses such as sports betting, gaming, digital media, marketplaces or e-commerce is highly valuable but not essential.
  • Interview process: initial chat with a Talent Partner (45 minutes, Zoom); interview with the Hiring Manager (1 hour, video, Zoom); take-home task given over 3 days, presented to the team, Interviewer 1 and Interviewer 2 (Hiring Manager) (1 hour, video, Zoom); short working session or case with the team, Interviewer 1, Interviewer 2 and Interviewer 3 (1 hour, video, Zoom); final interview.
