The company is publicly traded on the NYSE. Its work spans hyperscalers, AI labs, the AI hardware supply chain, data platform providers, and the wider AI ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Set the multi-year architecture strategy, hardware roadmap, and market expansion plan for the flagship scale-out platform, and judge complex market factors to define next-generation technology for high-performance and AI workloads.
• Build and promote the overall hardware vision for the platform line, shaping future architecture around demand from AI, machine learning, and high-performance computing markets.
• Own hardware portfolio decisions from concept design through commercial growth to planned end-of-life, with the goal of maximizing revenue and platform margins.
• Act as the main authority on hardware strategy in executive advisory boards, steering committee reviews, and key customer engagements.
• Weigh market trends, supply chain limits, and margin signals to make the trade-offs between performance, cost, and reliability.
• Work with the Subsystems and Platform Engineering teams to bring in emerging fabrics, networking, and media components that strengthen the platform's performance.
• Work directly with C-suite leaders, Engineering, Supply Chain, and global customer leadership to turn early concepts into hardware products that lead their market.

Requirements

• Recognized as an industry expert, with a principal-level record in enterprise infrastructure product strategy, long-term roadmaps, and leading company-wide architecture initiatives.
• Experience managing large hardware platform portfolios through every stage of the product life cycle, balancing unit economics, supply chains, and delivery to market.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with a record of negotiating critical strategic decisions and getting C-level and external executives aligned.
• Solid understanding of systems architecture, including scale-out storage, high-performance computing, data center hardware co-design, and modern cloud deployment models.

Conditions

The role is primarily in-office, based at the Santa Clara, CA office, following company policy. Exceptions are made for PTO, work travel, or other approved leave.

Base pay is set by role, level, and location. For roles open in several locations, the range reflects the labor market across those locations.

The annual base salary range is $198,000 - $297,000 USD.

The role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
