TPS Engineer

Responsibilities

• Take part in new product introductions and early learning shipments, and help resolve serious long-term customer issues alongside senior management.
• Own hardware performance at a named customer and act as third-level escalation for hardware and software stability problems.
• Lead failure analysis to find long-term technical problems, plan fixes, and design the change that corrects them.
• Support engineering on alpha sites, covering installation, operation, calibration, service and testing of new hardware, processes or software, whether in house or on an engineering tool.
• Support beta sites with the same scope of work, applied to new hardware, software or processes on a customer tool.
• Write and review ECOs to confirm the data backs the fix, then brief the field. Join technical discussions with customers during escalations or when hardware or software is requested.
• Produce and present system performance data, including MTBF, MTBI and availability, plus process data and I/W spending analysis.
• Help GPS write CENs and BKMs. Create and review documents on technical improvements, system upgrades and support plans, present them to customers, and make sure the field adopts them.
• Run on-site training for early learning shipments and new product introductions for both internal and external engineers. Pass product knowledge from the business unit to the local team on a regular basis.

Conditions

Full-time, regular position.

Travel about 50% of the time.

Based in Santa Clara, CA. Relocation assistance is available.

Pay range: $133,500.00 - $183,500.00.

Pay within that range depends on location, hire grade, job knowledge, skills, experience, and fairness to current team members.

For sales roles, the posted range is the target total cash figure, meaning base salary plus target bonus at 100% goal achievement.
