Tender Project Engineer

Description

The team works on HVDC power transmission projects, supplying grid technology used by more than 3 billion people worldwide.

The role is based in Ludvika, Sweden, in the HVDC organization and supports the early phases of projects by defining technical solutions for competitive tender proposals.

You work with engineering, commercial, project management and supply chain colleagues on technical solutions, scope, risks and cost drivers under tight deadlines.

You help shape complete system solutions and make sure proposals meet customer requirements, internal standards and contract terms.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the technical work in the tender and proposal phases.
• Analyze customer specifications and technical requirements.
• Work with engineering, supply chain and project management to develop cost-optimized HVDC system solutions.
• Spot technical risks, constraints and opportunities and propose ways to mitigate them during the tender.
• Give accurate technical input for costing, planning assumptions and commercial offers.
• Prepare technical documents for tenders and customer submissions.
• Take part in technical meetings with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Hand over the technical scope to project execution teams.

Requirements

• Communicate clearly and coordinate well with others.
• Have experience in engineering, project engineering or technical projects.
• Bring a structured approach to technical and commercial complexity.
• Weigh technical, cost, schedule and risk factors together with a strong analytical mindset.
• Speak and write English fluently.
• Nice to have: knowledge of HVDC, power systems or energy infrastructure.
• Nice to have: experience with tenders, proposals, contracts or customer requirements.
• Advantage: Swedish language skills.
