Technical Recruiter (Contract)

Description

The company builds high-mobility spacecraft platforms for national security, civil and commercial missions, and moves quickly through design and iteration.

The team is growing fast, and this contract role is to help find and hire the people who will build it. The bar is high and every hire counts.

You will work directly with hiring managers to find, reach out to and close candidates across engineering, manufacturing, mission operations and corporate functions. The role is hands-on and suits someone who owns their pipeline end to end and works at speed without lowering the standard.

Responsibilities

• Run full-cycle recruiting for technical and business roles, including engineering, manufacturing, program management and operations
• Work with hiring managers to set role requirements, hiring plans and candidate profiles
• Build and run sourcing plans to reach passive candidates through several channels
• Maintain strong talent pipelines for current and upcoming needs
• Keep candidates informed and deliver a strong experience at every stage
• Screen candidates and schedule interviews with hiring teams
• Advise hiring managers on market conditions, talent supply, pay expectations and recruiting practice
• Hit recruiting targets for pipeline activity and hiring progress
• Represent the company at industry events, career fairs, university recruiting events and networking events

Requirements

• At least 4 years of full-cycle recruiting in aerospace, defense, space, advanced manufacturing or another highly technical field
• A bachelor's degree in human resources, business, communications or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Experience working directly with hiring managers and senior leaders
• Strong sourcing skills in LinkedIn Recruiter, Greenhouse ATS and other recruiting platforms
• Ability to run several searches at once and act quickly
• Persistence in finding, engaging and closing top candidates at a fast pace without lowering the hiring bar
• A mission-first approach and a strong sense of ownership, knowing each critical hire affects mission success
• Resourcefulness: you build relationships, work around obstacles and keep going until the role is filled
• Clear communication, relationship-building and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently, decide quickly and collaborate across teams
• Nice to have: experience hiring in startups or high-growth companies
• Nice to have: experience recruiting candidates who need security clearances or work in export-controlled environments
• Nice to have: knowledge of compensation benchmarking and talent market trends

Conditions

Contract role with eligibility to convert to permanent employment

Hourly rate: Rockville $60-$70, Tulsa $45-$55. This is an estimate, and the actual rate may vary based on factors such as experience, education or training, critical skills and business considerations

To meet U.S. Government space technology export rules, including ITAR, you must be a U.S. citizen, a lawful permanent resident, a protected individual under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations
