Description

The company develops memory and storage solutions that turn large volumes of data into usable intelligence.

The Smart Manufacturing AI Pathfinding & Innovation (AIPI) team explores early-stage AI work, including unproven architectures, next-generation large language models, multimodal systems and agentic frameworks.

The team takes research ideas to working proofs of concept and checks the risks and value of the AI technical roadmap as it goes.

This Technical Program Manager role works between researchers, machine learning engineers, infrastructure teams and executives. You will help shape how discovery itself is run and turn exploratory ideas into measurable programs with clear actions.

Responsibilities

  • Run the day-to-day work of AIPI programs and help set their long-term direction.
  • Write down processes and methods so AIPI initiatives work in a consistent way.
  • Be the main contact and the single reliable source of information for AIPI programs.
  • Manage each pathfinding project end to end, including staffing and timelines.
  • Build and maintain scalable roadmaps that match strategic goals.
  • Find and clear any technical gap or blocker that holds a project back.
  • Represent AIPI in cross-functional operations work, working groups and meetings, and act as the link between organizations.
  • Work with collaborators and subject matter experts to set measurable objectives and concrete actions.
  • Advise leadership on technical feasibility, risk reduction and how to allocate resources.
  • Explain major technical risks and breakthroughs to non-technical executives in plain language.
  • Set, coordinate and maintain top-level organizational objectives, and give senior and executive partners regular progress read-outs.
  • Identify technical bottlenecks, weigh trade-offs, and decide whether to adjust, scale or stop experimental paths.
  • Remove technical and operational obstacles so research teams can move quickly.
  • Set up fast learning cycles, checkpoints and measures for unproven technologies.
  • Lead every part of the key measures needed to deliver outcomes and produce the intended impact.

Requirements

  • Minimum: a degree in computer science, engineering or another related technical field.
  • Minimum: 5+ years of complex program management with a record of running programs across global teams.
  • Minimum: a proven ability to run sophisticated technical programs, coordinate cross-functional teams and finish projects while balancing competing priorities and constraints.
  • Minimum: strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions in a fast-moving, changing environment.
  • Minimum: extensive experience working directly with senior executives.
  • Preferred: expertise in program management, project management and vendor relationship management.
  • Preferred: comfort working through ambiguity and shaping unstructured, exploratory ideas into defined experimental roadmaps.
  • Preferred: solid foundational understanding of AI, including deep learning, neural network architectures, transformers, the difference between training and inference, and modern data processing workflows.
  • Preferred: hands-on experience running complex AI/ML and data-driven projects with data scientists, engineers, subject matter experts and senior leaders.
  • Preferred: experience turning functional goals into practical plans and making execution run smoothly across technical teams.
