The team builds scalable automation, improves validation methods, and works with firmware, hardware, and systems engineers to deliver reliable storage products.

In this senior role you will help validate upcoming SSD features and technologies, build automated tests, look into difficult issues, and work with experienced engineers so products meet customer and industry requirements.

You will get hands-on work with SSD architecture, test automation, AI-assisted engineering tools, and collaboration across the full product development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Create automated test content for SSD firmware features, covering NVMe and customer-specific requirements.
  • Write and maintain functional, performance, stress, interoperability, and negative test cases using established frameworks and automation tools.
  • Look into regression and field failures, find root causes, and report findings to teams across functions.
  • Improve test automation, CI regression systems, reporting tools, and validation workflows to raise coverage and efficiency.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools and copilots to speed up test writing, debugging, data analysis, and your own productivity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 5-6 years of experience, or Master's degree with 3-5 years of experience, in computer science, electrical or computer engineering, data science, or a related field.
  • Strong Python skills, including automation development and libraries such as NumPy, pandas, and Scikit-learn.
  • Experience with software or firmware validation, test automation, and running structured verification strategies.
  • Understanding of machine learning concepts and the ability to apply existing AI or ML tools to engineering or testing problems.
  • Clear communication, with the ability to work across teams and independently on assigned projects.
  • Preferred: experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
  • Preferred: familiarity with embedded systems, firmware development concepts, and storage technologies such as NVMe, PCIe, SSDs, or NAND flash.
  • Preferred: experience developing automation for validation, testing, or CI/CD environments.
  • Preferred: working knowledge of C or Rust, plus experience with Linux, Windows, and Git-based workflows.
  • Preferred: experience in technical communities, open-source projects, or continuous learning initiatives.
