QA/QC Manager - Data Centre Construction

The company is a professional services firm with a Data Centre business that is growing in Italy, and it is hiring an experienced QA/QC Manager for its Data Centre team in Milan.

You will support and oversee quality assurance and quality control on large construction projects, making sure work meets agreed quality standards, safety requirements and regulatory expectations while helping projects get delivered.

Responsibilities

• Put QA/QC plans into practice across construction projects and monitor them to confirm compliance with project specifications and standards
• Carry out regular site inspections, audits and reviews to check quality, safety and environmental compliance
• Check construction drawings and submittals for accuracy, completeness and constructability
• Support the RFI and submittal processes, keeping documentation complete and tracked
• Find, record and help resolve quality issues, non-conformances and risks
• Keep detailed project records, including inspection reports, meeting minutes and compliance records
• Work with contractors, subcontractors and project teams to make sure QA/QC processes are followed
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports on quality metrics and construction progress
• Help manage project risks linked to quality, safety and compliance
• Attend project meetings and share QA/QC updates with stakeholders
• Review as-built documentation and help with project closeout
• Make sure health, safety and environmental standards are met throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements

• A degree in construction management, engineering, architecture or a related field, or equivalent experience in place of a degree
• 3 to 7+ years of experience in construction QA/QC or project coordination
• Experience setting up QA/QC programmes and supporting construction site operations
• Familiarity with construction drawings, specifications and submittal processes
• Knowledge of construction safety practices
• Strong communication, organisational, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
• Italian speaker with good written and spoken English
• Availability for on-site work
