Teamlead Project Manager Product Development

Description

You will set the direction for development of the company's newest robotics and automation products, leading complex projects while coaching a group of project managers.

You work through the New Product Introduction (NPI) process, linking Product Management, Product Development, Integrated Supply Chain and Field Support. With multidisciplinary teams, you turn customer needs into feasible, future-ready solutions and keep quality, planning and cost under control.

The company builds robotic and automated systems for dairy farmers. It was founded 75 years ago in Maassluis and employs more than 2,800 people. You will work with the other leads and the head of department to build shared standards and better project management practice.

The setting is international, and the company encourages learning, experimenting and taking ownership of ideas.

Responsibilities

• Coach and develop a team of project managers, with a focus on teamwork, ownership and career growth.
• Lead one or more complex development projects with software, electronics, mechanical and system integration engineers.
• Set and protect project direction in line with strategy and the NPI process.
• Build and track project plans, budgets, risks and progress.
• Keep product management, manufacturing, supply chain, service and procurement clearly informed and aligned.
• Help improve project management practice across the company.

Requirements

• You enjoy guiding people as much as delivering difficult projects, and you do well in an innovative setting where deep technical work and teamwork go together.
• You can lead a team while keeping the people in it in view.
• A completed master's degree in a technical field such as mechanical engineering, software engineering or mechatronics.
• At least 7 years as a project manager and/or team lead in a technical development environment, including leading project managers.
• A proven track record leading complex NPI product development in a multidisciplinary setting.
• A solid technical grounding and the ability to work at system level.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage stakeholders across the organisation.
• A coaching, results-driven style that balances people and performance.
• Nice to have: mechatronics and/or embedded software development experience is a plus.

Conditions

Hybrid work: at least four days per week on the Maassluis campus, with flexible hours and room for extra on-site time between 06:00 and 20:00.

Full-time position with a gross monthly salary between €6,500 and €9,300, with room to grow within that range.
