Technical Product Manager

The company supports the full product development cycle, from consulting through full project outsourcing.

This role owns the strategy, development and execution of products on current vehicles and future automotive platforms. You will take 0-to-1 products from concept through launch and ongoing lifecycle management, linking customer needs, market opportunities and business goals. You will work across hardware, firmware, software and operations teams to set priorities, manage tradeoffs and get stakeholders aligned.

Responsibilities

• Set the product areas across the current vehicle line and the future platform.
• Own the product's success from launch through its full lifecycle.
• Learn the customer, market and business goals well enough to spot new opportunities and tie your product area to company objectives.
• Act as Product Owner in a product development process that involves hardware, firmware, software and operations.
• Make firm calls on feature priorities and keep those priorities clearly communicated.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or a related technical field.
• Enough technical fluency to talk credibly with hardware, firmware and software engineers.
• 6+ years of direct product management experience taking 0->1 products to market in automotive or autonomous vehicles.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence many kinds of stakeholders to reach decisions and consensus quickly.
• The ability to weigh long-term strategy against near-term wins.
• A self-starter with a record of acting on problems and delivering results.
• Sharp critical thinking, with a structured approach to complex tradeoffs.

Conditions

Full-time, on-site work five days per week.

Base pay of $115,000 - 125,000. The final offer depends on factors such as location and the candidate's knowledge, skills, education, training and experience.
