Description

The company provides research, data, and technology that help individual investors, financial advisors, and institutions understand markets. Its work stays independent, with data and opinions grounded in evidence rather than outside pressure.

Talent Acquisition hires the people who build this work, and for many new hires it is their first contact with the company.

As Lead Recruiter, you are accountable for hiring results across North America for the Direct business, covering both technical and non-technical roles. This is a senior individual-contributor position with no direct reports. You take on the most complex searches and set the bar for other recruiters through your own example and expertise.

Your approach mirrors the company's research: evidence-led, independent, and opinionated. You apply that discipline to each search, debrief, and working relationship with Direct business leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Own hiring results for the Direct business across North America, including quality of hire, time to fill, and candidate experience.
  • Define the standard for intake, sourcing, selection, and offer closing, and coach recruiters with practical feedback that builds real advisory skill.
  • Run the most complex and senior searches in your area, applying evidence, sound judgment, and a clear view at each stage.
  • Learn the Direct business and the functions it supports well enough to hold credible discussions, judge real depth beyond keywords, and turn business needs into search plans and market maps.
  • Act as the senior talent acquisition contact for your area with business and HR leaders, supplying market intelligence and firm recommendations.
  • Establish structured, fair, evidence-based selection across your area and run calibrated debriefs that improve team judgment over time.
  • Manage pipeline health: spot risks early, step in before they grow, and convert recruiting data into insight for stakeholders and TA leadership.
  • Design and promote AI-assisted recruiting workflows, encourage adoption, and keep their use responsible and compliant. Help build playbooks, training, and process changes that reach beyond your own searches.

Requirements

  • Seven or more years of recruiting experience, including time spent mentoring or coaching other recruiters.
  • A record of owning complex or senior searches, with measurable outcomes you can describe in specific terms.
  • Proven ability to learn a business, product, or function fast enough to advise leaders credibly and convert talent needs into recruiting strategy.
  • Proven ability to set standards and lift the capability of the recruiters around you.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders using market data and insight.
  • Skill in designing and coaching AI-assisted recruiting workflows.
  • Working knowledge of employment law, EEO, and OFCCP as they apply to talent acquisition.
  • Preferred: experience with Workday, Paradox, and HiredScore.
  • Preferred: a track record of building or improving a recruiting program, tool, or training curriculum.

Conditions

Hybrid work: in most locations you are in the office four days each week, collaborating in person weekly.

Other flexible arrangements are available as needs change.

You will have tools and resources to work with colleagues across the globe, wherever you are based.

Total cash compensation range: $98,125.00 to $143,925.00, including annual base salary and target incentive.

Employing legal entity: 001MstarInc, the company's legal entity.

Benefits

  • Financial: 100% 401(k) match up to 6% of salary, potential stock ownership, and company-paid life insurance of 1x salary plus commission.
  • Health: medical, dental, and vision coverage with potential premium discounts, company HSA contributions of up to $500 to $2,000 per year on specific plans, wellness incentives of up to $300 to $600 per year, and company-paid short- and long-term disability insurance.
  • Time off: trust-based time off, a 6-week paid sabbatical, 6 weeks of paid family caregiving leave, 8 to 24 weeks of paid parental leave, and paid volunteering days.
  • Growth and support: adoption assistance, leadership coaching and formal mentorship, a $1,000 annual flex stipend for education and well-being costs, and tuition reimbursement.
  • Community: charitable matching gifts, the Dollars for Doers volunteer program, and more than 15 employee resource and affinity groups.
