Systems Engineer Level 1

Description

The role sits in IT infrastructure and operations and focuses on enterprise IT systems. You will work with a team that values initiative and resourcefulness, and you will shape how the company's customers run their systems while building your own career.

Responsibilities

• Design and define the architecture of new and existing computer systems.
• Lead system development from design and modeling through security, integration and formal testing.
• Write system requirements, specifications and design plans.
• Analyze requirements and carry out feasibility studies.
• Define system metrics.
• Develop, define and document operational and support concepts.
• Write test plans, procedures and reports, and analyze the results.
• Troubleshoot system failures and malfunctions.
• Maintain systems on an ongoing basis and resolve security, backup and redundancy problems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, computer engineering or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
• At least 3+ years of related experience.
• Skills in functional requirements analysis, system modeling, system requirements, systems design and systems documentation.
• Active Top Secret SCI clearance with a polygraph, or the ability to obtain it. No public trust clearance is required.
• US citizenship is required.
• Able to be on camera during virtual interviews.

Conditions

Location: Annapolis Junction, Maryland, USA. Onsite work only.

Schedule: 40 hours per week. No travel is required.

Salary range is $152,150 to $205,850. This is an estimate, not a guarantee. Pay depends on experience, geographic location and possibly contract terms, and may fall outside this range.
