This is a Systems Engineer III role focused on live production. The Broadcast & IT Support Engineer handles maintenance, installation, and board or component-level repair of broadcast and IT equipment in studios and outside broadcast facilities, often under time pressure.

The team builds and runs the technical side of stories across all ages and audiences, moving quickly and aiming high.

Responsibilities

• Support live and recorded programming in-house, which requires a solid grasp of broadcast IT infrastructure.
• Work across control rooms, studios, terminal and distribution riser rooms, and data centers.
• Maintain and troubleshoot production systems such as A/V routing, signal processing, cameras, switchers, audio mixers, intercom, encoders, feeds and edit systems, master control, automation, and transmission systems.
• Apply baseline IT and data networking knowledge to IP-based and IT-centred broadcast and multimedia infrastructure.
• Work with team members, clients, and other support groups to troubleshoot and resolve issues on broadcast, multimedia, and computer systems in production environments.
• Mostly support facilities, but you may also support outside productions and events, or help upgrade outside broadcast facilities. ENG crew gear maintenance is shared with the field engineering team.
• Follow the team's ITSM processes for planning and managing changes, minimising impact and delivering value to customers. Document issues and requests, and escalate them through the in-house service management systems for problem management and resolution.

Conditions

Hiring salary range: $102,823.00 to $190,956.00 per year.

Pay depends on factors such as location, market data, internal equity, skills, experience, training, education, and performance.
