Description

This Systems Engineer II role in post-production sits within the Global Technology & Operations team, which builds, implements and maintains the media technology and business systems behind the company's products, and sets the long-term technology strategy for its pay-TV, digital terrestrial, free-to-air and online services.

The company is a global media and entertainment business with three segments: Studios, Direct-to-Consumer and TV Media.

Its European sports unit represents a portfolio of sports brands, channels and platforms. It reaches 130 million people a month in more than 200 markets, in 20 languages, across free-to-air TV, pay-TV, streaming, online and social.

Its live coverage includes the Olympic Games in Europe, tennis Grand Slams, cycling Grand Tours with more than 1,000 live cycling broadcasts a year, the WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series, the PGA TOUR in some markets, The Ocean Race, and major winter sports world championships and World Cups.

The two sports channels are going through a large technology transformation toward a hybrid architecture of on-premises and cloud systems. The London and Paris teams run engineering and support for this setup, working with two playout centres and the channels' operations across Europe.
