You will work with technical and security staff to keep systems running well, address vulnerabilities, support configuration changes, and keep classified systems compliant with DoD, DCSA and NISPOM rules.

The ideal candidate has hands-on work with Windows Server, virtualization, enterprise applications, storage, identity and access management, and cybersecurity tools.

Responsibilities

  • Install, set up, run, maintain and troubleshoot Windows Server and Linux systems across classified environments.

  • Look after enterprise services, including Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Diagnose and fix complex hardware, software, networking, operating system, application and infrastructure problems across several classified networks.
  • Manage storage from Pure Storage, Dell PowerVault and Synology.
  • Handle Active Directory, including creating and changing classified user accounts, permissions, Group Policy, DNS and DHCP in line with security rules.
  • Keep inventory, configuration and accountability records for classified IT assets, removable media, hardware and peripherals, as DCSA requires.
  • Write and submit Security Impact Analysis (SIA) packages for proposed hardware, software, system and configuration changes, and secure approvals before anything goes live.
  • Coach junior technicians and system administrators, share technical knowledge, and help standardize how systems are administered.
  • Work with cybersecurity, engineering, infrastructure and program teams to spot technical risks and build secure, lasting fixes.
  • Take part in scheduled after-hours maintenance, upgrades, incident response and outage support as missions require.
  • Deep knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy, Linux (Red Hat preferred), and networking with Cisco, datacenter and firewall work.
  • Experience leading projects and large teams and working with leaders on the high side.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
  • A bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, systems engineering, cybersecurity or a related field, or an equivalent mix of education, technical training, certifications and work experience.
  • 7+ years in systems administration, systems engineering or related enterprise IT.
  • CompTIA Security+ or another DoD-approved cybersecurity certification.
  • Extensive experience running Windows Server, including installation, configuration, patching, upkeep, troubleshooting and performance tuning.
  • Hands-on work with VMware, Hyper-V and/or Nutanix.
  • Experience finding and fixing system vulnerabilities and applying security mitigations through enterprise vulnerability work.
