Description

The company provides Kubernetes-native AI infrastructure for organisations running in the cloud, on-premises, at the edge or in sovereign data centres, with a focus on open source and avoiding vendor lock-in.

The company is young and values openness, collaboration, risk-taking and continuous growth.

You will design and run enterprise-grade Kubernetes platforms across hybrid AWS and Azure environments that support mission-critical workloads.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build and run Kubernetes infrastructure that hosts both containers and virtual machines, using KubeVirt to manage both from one system and reduce complexity.
  • Lead the modernisation of legacy platforms into cloud-native architectures.
  • Build and maintain production observability platforms that shorten mean time to resolution and improve reliability.
  • Set and enforce DevSecOps standards covering Harbor registry security, image scanning, container security controls, access management, RBAC enforcement and compliance baselines.
  • Define and maintain cloud governance, security policies and compliance frameworks for the organisation.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning with Infrastructure as Code to standardise environments and shorten deployment times.
  • Run Argo CD GitOps workflows that make releases reproducible and auditable across environments.
  • Build and maintain GitOps CI/CD pipelines using Argo CD and Helm so infrastructure changes stay controlled and auditable.
  • Set up multi-network pod configurations with Multus CNI for complex VM and container networking.
  • Design and operate networking for bare-metal and hybrid clusters, including MetalLB load balancing.
  • Troubleshoot advanced networking issues involving CNI plugins, secondary interfaces, IPAM and traffic routing.
  • Connect KubeVirt workloads that need multiple network attachments.
  • Create and maintain reusable reference architectures and automation frameworks for repeatable Kubernetes deployments.
  • Lead through mentoring and technical design reviews, and work with cross-functional, geographically distributed teams.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree, or a foreign degree equivalent, in computer science, electrical engineering, electronics engineering or a related field.
  • 5 years of progressive experience after your bachelor's degree as a software engineer, software developer, systems engineer or in a related occupation.
  • Academic training or work experience in each of the following areas:
  • Designing and operating production-level Kubernetes clusters for enterprise workloads.
  • Building and running AWS or Azure production infrastructure, including hybrid or multi-cloud architecture.
  • Implementing CI/CD pipelines with Argo CD and JFrog Artifactory for automated application and infrastructure deployments.
  • Automating large-scale environments with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Ansible.
  • Administering Linux systems in production.
  • Applying DevSecOps practices, including Harbor registry security, access management and compliance alignment.
  • Working with monitoring and observability platforms for production systems.

Conditions

The role is based at the company's facility at 14205 North Mopac Expressway, Austin, TX 78728.

Telecommuting is allowed.

The company may use automated decision-making technology for some employment decisions; for evaluation and review decisions on this role you may opt out, and you may appeal any ADMT decision.

Benefits

  • Work with Fortune 500 and Global 2000 customers on next-generation cloud technologies.
  • Take part in cutting-edge open-source innovation.
  • Professional development and training.
  • Attend conferences and working groups.
  • Join company outings, happy hours, hackathons and tech talks.
  • A competitive compensation package with a strong benefits plan.
