Description

The company has spent two decades reinventing itself, from the GPU in 1999 to the deep learning work behind modern AI, and it keeps tackling hard problems.

The Test Solutions Group is hiring a test infrastructure engineer to build the foundation for manufacturing board and system products at contract manufacturer sites, supporting next-generation Data Center products.

You will own the engineering of test-dedicated infrastructure, covering tester provisioning and configuration, test compute and storage, automation, logging, monitoring, DHCP requirements, and incident recovery, while working with contract manufacturer site operations and IT teams on shared dependencies.

Your job is to keep test environments reliable, scalable, secure, and ready for high-volume manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Build and run the first contract manufacturer test infrastructure service stack: test compute, storage, tester provisioning and configuration, automation scripts, DHCP, log and diagnostic collection, and test file transfer.
  • Set the standards for tester images, configuration baselines, inventory, naming, access, patching, and lifecycle management.
  • Use infrastructure-as-code and configuration management to automate tester provisioning, configuration, recovery, health checks, and log collection.
  • Write runbooks, monitoring dashboards, alerts, and incident procedures for each supported service, including a path for escalating blocking issues.
  • Work with contract manufacturer site operations on physical deployment, break/fix, remote access, rack-and-stack, power, and equipment replacement.
  • Make sure test infrastructure meets enterprise standards for identity and access, networking, security, DNS, patching, backup, and hardware, working with IT teams.
  • Spot capacity, reliability, security, and operational risks early and fix them before they hurt test throughput.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of experience in infrastructure, systems, or test engineering, lab operations, or technical operations.
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong hands-on Linux administration skills and a practical approach to solving problems.
  • Experience with servers, storage, networking fundamentals, remote-management controllers, and hardware or lab environments.
  • Experience with automation and configuration management, such as Python, Bash, Ansible, Terraform, CI/CD, or equivalent.
  • Experience with logging, monitoring, alerting, incident response, and root-cause analysis.
  • You can work independently across distributed teams, contract manufacturer partners, and IT organizations.
  • Clear written communication and strong operational discipline.
  • Optional: experience supporting hardware validation, factory or contract manufacturer operations, data centers, or large-scale test labs.
  • Optional: experience with GPU or server platforms, DHCP/DNS, PXE boot, golden images, KVM/console systems, and asset management.
  • Optional: familiarity with storage systems, high-speed networking, observability platforms, and security tooling.
  • Optional: experience building a new operational capability or taking on unclear infrastructure ownership across several teams.

Conditions

This is an existing vacancy, and applications are accepted until at least November 6, 2026.
