Systems Architect

You would work on some of the hardest engineering challenges alongside experienced colleagues, with a team that values growth and support.

Responsibilities

• Check that the system design can meet the quality, cost, and schedule targets of the core technical project.
• Drive standard solutions and reuse of functions and parts to shorten time to market and cut development cost.
• Direct and coordinate the work of analyst engineers, system designers, and component leads.
• Plan and run the main system reviews, such as SRR, SFR, PDR, and others.
• Manage system architecture work and its outputs in PLM tools, and oversee the system lifecycle.
• Track how the system product is progressing through architecture views and data, and step in when needed.
• Give the project manager a system-level technical status.

Requirements

• Strong command of functional architectures.
• Expertise in connected car services such as authentication, profile, activation, and xcall.
• Ability to read high-level functional needs and split them into vehicle functional groups.
• Ability to break client needs down into functional groups.
• Understanding of safety requirements within a vehicle functional architecture.
• Precise, careful English editing.
• Ability to set up and enforce configuration management with all system actors and managers.
• Ability to explain configuration management and push it through on projects.
• Knowledge of document structures for complex systems that must meet safety and traceability requirements.
• Advantage: knowledge of vehicle functions, including complex mechanical systems such as engines, gearboxes, braking, and ADAS.
• Plus: experience modeling electronic architecture with a systems engineering tool.
• Preferred: 5 years in functional or system design in a multidisciplinary setting.
