Consulting Internship: Business Systems Analyst (Summer 2027)

Elevate is a 10-week summer internship for undergraduate juniors who enjoy technology and want to tackle complex business and technical challenges. It runs in person at the Richmond, Virginia headquarters and mirrors a real client engagement, covering the full life cycle of a typical IT consulting project.

Interns work in self-led teams, with full-time consultants providing guidance and mentorship. Weekly lunch-and-learns with the leadership team are also part of the program.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Scrum Master or Product Owner for a development team.
• Gather and document requirements with client stakeholders and subject matter experts.
• Review the current state of a system and help design the future state.
• Set the project cadence and lead team ceremonies.
• Run stakeholder reviews and client presentations.

Requirements

• You are an undergraduate with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and May 2028, and you plan to seek full-time work after graduating.
• You have shown you can work independently while contributing to a team.
• You have worked in a team on a long-term school project or internship that produced a deliverable.
• Familiarity with Agile, Scrum and the Software Development Life Cycle is helpful.
• Experience with SQL and/or Python is preferred.
• Prior consulting or client-facing experience is a plus.
• All majors may apply. Analytics, Computer Science, BIT and Systems Engineering majors are preferred but not required.

Conditions

The internship runs 10 weeks, from June 1 through August 6, 2027, at 40 hours per week, in person in Richmond, Virginia.

Candidates must be able to work at the Richmond, VA office.

A housing stipend is provided for interns who live more than 50 miles away.

The hourly pay is $30/hr.

The company cannot transfer or sponsor a work visa for this position. You must already be authorized to work for any US employer without visa sponsorship.
