Staff Voice AI Engineer – SRE/DevOps

Description

This is a staff-level SRE/DevOps role focused on Voice AI, sitting between telecom and AI engineering.

Responsibilities

• Create software that tackles operational challenges for Voice AI in cloud-native environments, including deployments, observability, monitoring, high availability, disaster recovery and continuous integration.
• Write clean, scalable, reusable code and uphold architecture and process standards through code reviews and unit testing.
• Work with product owners to clarify detailed requirements, then take your code from design through implementation, test automation and delivery.
• Integrate LLMs into voice platforms and real-time communication systems.
• Mentor colleagues and encourage knowledge sharing across telecom and AI engineering.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience running highly available distributed cloud-native workloads on container platforms such as Kubernetes.
• 4+ years of development experience in Python, GoLang, Java or similar languages.
• Experience building applications on LLMs, using prompt engineering, agents and skills.
• Experience building distributed systems with cloud-native software.
• Experience with software-defined networking, infrastructure as code and configuration management.
• Experience building with AI tools such as Claude Code, Cursor or Windsurf.
• Ability to think critically about AI in work processes, decision-making and problem-solving, such as using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or assessing AI's potential impact on your function or industry.
• 2+ years building and operating Voice AI applications is a strong asset.
• Hands-on work with DevOps tools such as Helm, Ansible, Kubernetes, Prometheus, Splunk or GitLab CI is considered an asset.

Conditions

Base pay for this location is $176,100 - $308,200, a guideline that varies with qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.

Total pay may also include equity when applicable, variable or incentive compensation, and benefits.

Compensation depends on the geographic location of the role and may change with work location.

Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive structure.

Work personas are flexible, remote or required in office, assigned by the nature of the work and work location.

The company may use a third-party service to measure the distance between your primary residence and the nearest office when determining persona eligibility.
